I always score each round before Compubox or Lederman are brought into the frame. You shouldn't have to think about a round's score for more than a few seconds. If you do, you're doing something wrong. I enjoy Compubox as an empirical measure, understanding that you can't score rounds on that basis. Even if it were 100 percent accurate -- and it isn't -- it doesn't factor in ring generalship, defense, etc. Arguing the outcome of fights based strictly on compubox is sure folly.
i usually see watt and the black guy that was a cruiserweight champ, his name slips my mind. now that the fights are on setenta, its still the same guys.
Just so yall know, i love the british, i wasnt try to trash yall or anything, thats just what ive noticed from commentators.
That's true. I loved watt during Morales Vs Pacman 1, in the 12 round when Morales went southpaw..."what is he doing, the job is done"
You think if we ditched our punching stats Hatton would be WBC welter weight champ right now or that the British would have more then 2 heavyweight champions in their entire history? You think we should count every time Hatton holds a punch? Maybe a punch for every 2 seconds he is able to hold onto his opponent?
They usually don't show the punch stats until the next round, and I make sure to mark my score before the next round starts - precisely because of the threat you talk about. One thing I find is that often the punch stats do back up who I thought won the round - not always, though.
American boxing media hates Euro fighters to the extreme. I have seen a lot of fights when a boxer lands several punches while the commentators are saying the other boxer is landing them. It works on many.
American commentators hate Euros, my favourite is when they are slagging off Hamed when hes fighting Kelly (Cant remember the commentator/s, I know Foreman is thier but he is the brains, the other/s are haters) Hamed has been dropped once or twice and the twat is starting to make out Kelly is a step up in class, then BOOM, Kelly's on his arse, Foremans like ''there's the power, there's the power''.:yep Love it! Another bit of hating is Benn v Mcllelan, one of the commentators (maybe Foreman) says ''Benn's looking to Bruno (whos ringside shouting) for inspiration'' and the other American dick commentator says ''Bruno is the last person he should be looking at for inspiration'' or words to that effect, I hate it, makes me want to rip the ****s head off, what has this ****er done other than sit behind a mic to warrant slagging off Bruno! ****!
you seem to have a strong dislike to americans in general, so **** off. and fyi, kelly was working hameds ass before the ko.
