It's strange to me that some people don't consider this important. Why are some fans even watching anyways? Some fighters are just boring, period. And some guys just don't care. As long as their guy wins they don't care if it's boring. It's like some weird mental masturbation. There's got to be some mental issues there. The top guys fight twice a year usually, 3 times if they're active. We don't get to see them much. It's not like baseball or even football where you can just watch again the next day or the next week. If the fight sucks you're screwed over as a fan. Especially if you paid money. That's why I loved watching a guy like Pacquiao. You knew that from about 2003-2009 you were going to get the greatest concert of your life. Except for the very rare letdown like the second Barrera fight. **** was about to go down, heavy. For some of the newer fans who don't remember boxing about 10+ years ago; there was a time when Pacquiao was the closest thing to Mike Tyson as far as entertainment and ring legends at their fights. And Tyson for all his flaws brought the fun to boxing too. Now we have rigo fanboys everywhere. Guys who support Canelo antics, etc. Whatever happened to getting fired up and ready for some great fights?
It's as overrated as ever, and even worse today with the social media. If it was underrated, you won't have fighters like Golovkin getting all the attention despite having comical resumes padded with overly matched bums.
