I'm a huge fan of Golovkin, but Canelo still seems in his prime whilst the days of GGG laying everybody out are gone. Canelo has been around for a long time but has no miles on his clock. GGG has been around forever and is starting to age now. Canelo is not given nearly enough credit for his skills. He looked downright awesome against Cotto, and GGG hasn't looked at his best in ages now. Canelo on points.
I want Golovkin to win, definitely much more of a fan - but I do think Canelo is being underestimated here.
Same. I much prefer GGG as a fighter (he steps up and entertains), but man are people selling Canelo short. It's worth betting on him, IMHO
"Yeah look, I'm a big GGG fan but he's a bum and Canelo's going to kill him". **** thread, try harder next time.
So let me get this straight, GGG KO's everyone he's fought for 9 years straight, and one fight goes the distance against a hyper defensive guy who did everything in his power to not get hit flush, yet still got dropped along the way, and now GGG's days of laying everyone out are gone? Jesus ****ing Christ.
I think canelo will win too. I honestly dont know why you understimate canelo so much, his footwork is not the best ever seen, ok, but he's no bum and gg is no dancer. I'm curious about this fight. Looking forward to watch it.
Dude! I just looked at his boxrec to refresh my memory, but prior to the ONE ud vs Jacobs (who is no slouch and was on a stoppage streak his own self) I quit counting at 16 consecutive stoppages leading up to that fight. It is awfully suspicious how all of a sudden Golovkin is washed up.
9 years in germany being spoon-fed is not a big achievement, tbh. The first serious (but not top) fighter he fought, he got a polemical decision. You can say whatever you want, but it's not bizarre if people look at gg in a suspicious way.
Because GGG is superior in virtually every departments, except MAYBE head movements. If GGG doesn't suddenly age overnight, he'll destroy Canelo. Obviously, Canelo can always get a decision as he has a history of being protected by judges.
Last time I checked 2012-2017 is part of that 9 years, and they weren't in Germany, and the opponents weren't bums. Polemical decision my ass, the fight was close, but 114-113 or 115-112 for GGG are the correct scores. And if you're such a "sweet science" guy then I would assume you could properly process the level Jacobs was operating on in there, but I guess you're not.
Canelo was schooled 12-0 by the first undersized top boxer he faced. He also arguably lost against Lara and Austin ****ing trout.
GGG KO a bunch of worn out fighters, fighters who are barely regional level, and several bums. As soon as he steps up against a world level fighter he wins a close and arguably controversial fight.
And Canelo couldn't KO two worn out fighters in Angulo (legitimately) and Chavez, thanks for opening yourself up to looking like an idiot again Isal. He had to get Oh-scar to bring in guys with certified glass jaws like Khan and Kirkland to guarantee he got KO wins, that's just ****ing sad.
yes, and you can extrapolate the result because gg fights exactly the same way lara does, isnt it? Ok.
