I think Canelo may go up in weight this year due to Andrade, Charlos and J-Rock

If he stays at 154, fans will ask him why you don't fight these guys ? At 160 Canelo could get bigger fights vs GGG, BJS, CEJ and Lemieux.:think

Lara, Trout, Cotto > Charlo 1, Charlo 2, Andrade

The Haymon Jr.MWs are mostly hype. Charlo 1 was getting beat until that weird TKO, and Charlo 2 got beat by an againt Trout.

Better fights for Canelo at 154 than at 160. I would stay at 154 if I were him.

Agree better fights @154 for sure...
But Alvarez is not ducking those dudes... lol

They have the opportunity to prove themselves by fighting each other add Lara into the mix.

Andrade wants nothing to do with Erislandy for whatever reason, dude feels entitled to get a payday but don't deserve one.

JROCK & Charlo deserve props for stepping up tho.

:patsch So why fight anyone anymore Isal. Especially contenders, since you can say he's beaten guys better then some top contenders.

Is Liam Smith = Lara, Cotto , trout now?

He cannot keep making 154/55. The guy rehydrates to around 180 already.

canelo will move up, but not because of those guys. It'll be due to the inability to make 154 effectively.

Of course he will run. It's a form of protection. Strategic match making. BJS, Andly Lee, Lemeux, etc. are all safer fights than the Charlo's, Andrade, or Williams.

I mostly agree with this, except Canelo might be ducking Andrade.

That's what I saying in a thread earlier back when Canelo-Smith was announced.
Canelo can't keep running from semi-threats all the time and at some point, people will catch on to his Mexican Houdini act and see him nothing more than a hypejob and a guy who can't even beat the top dogs in 154 and 160. By him choosing to fight the weakest 154 titleholder in Smith is proof of this. Mexican Warrior my ass. If he's such a warrior, how come he didn't fight the toughest guys in 154 division, his so called natural weight division. pfft.
