I think Carl Froch is pretty underrated on this forum.

She's all face. If a female like that is willing to put herself in the same category attitude wise as an ugly ***** with a cool body then I can roll. Reality is these one trick ponies get overrated, so I have no need for their overinflated egos. She's not **** over here. I need tits and ass. Period.

 

Froch had balls the size of churchbells. He made Dirrell look like the chicken in the Rocky movie.

 

Carl Froch is going to get sparked by the first fighter who realizes he's a scrub.


Dirrell didnt realize Froch was a scrub until the 10th, then almost KO'd him. If they rematched he get it put on em, but like I said I doubt he makes it through Kessler and Abraham still boxing.

Froch made Dirrell look so scared, it was pitiful.

The girl has more balls than Dirrell.

 

I think Carl Froch is a garbage boxer, he has some positive attributes though such as having a long reach, good power, and good chin, but really he sucks. All his wins against top contenders were straight up luck.

Thats correct. Unfortunately most including the TS could never understand this. Big step up for Dirrell just being in the tournament but pretty clear he improved quite a bit since the Froch fight. Abraham's a better version of Froch and Dirrell used lateral movement and less holding to keep the fight at range in the center of the ring but still shows a little more room for improvement in my opinion. As Ive said all along both Dirrell and Ward are the two most talented fighters in the tournament but both were somewhat green on the championship level.
Its pretty common for both Gary Shaw and Lou Dibella to rush their fighters along too quickly.

If he is consistently winning against top contenders, then you can't call all of them as straight up luck. You gotta give him some credits for winning all his fights.

 

I crack on Froch here and there because he pretty much invites it with his personality, but it's true, he gets the job done and he's an (choke, choke, choke) elite fighter, I guess.

 

I used to think Froch was underrated until the Taylor fight. Taylor was totally outboxing him, and even put him on the canvas. As usual though, Taylor ran out of gas and got hammered in the 12th. Froch only landed about 2 or 3 good punches on Dirrell that entire fight. Dirrell made him look amatuerish at times and even hurt him on couple of occasions. Pascal was a solid win, but I'm not too high on Pascal. Sure, he won a title against Diaconu. However, Diaconu was a short, slow ass, paper champ. Pascal is going to lose handily to Dawson. I expect Kessler to throughly outbox Froch. Froch's only chance is to score a KO. Froch has a lot of heart and toughness, and not a bad skillset. However, he's slow, his chin is overrated, and he makes a lot of silly mistakes.

 

I think Froch is pretty overated in this forum! Yes he has power a good chin and heart but that's where it ends. I think the Kessler of old is showing up and he's going to steam roll Froch.

 

How come?

I'm not a fan of Froch at all. I'm still wondering how he actually managed to beat Pascal, and at the moment I view that performance as something of an anomaly.

Froch's defense is just awful, he seems to employ the hands-down/wide open stance on the faulty premise that he has Roy Jones's reflexes and Jake La Motta's chin and therefore doesn't need to worry about silly little things like, erm, defending himself.

He's got a lazy jab, slow hands, two left feet, a leaky defense and I don't think his chin is half as good as it first appeared. Its not all bad of course, as you mention, he has exemplary mental toughness and a good fighting heart. He's strong and durable. And I admire the fact that he doesn't have 'stay at home' syndrome and actually wants to fight the best.

I'm sure he'll continue to have have some success, because the qualities he has will carry him through and at least give him a chance against guys who come to fight. But against skilled boxers, slick boxers, guys whose success is built on applying technique, Froch will either get lucky or found out every time.

 

Why are all you Americans so obsessed with 'skills'?:huh That's only one element of what makes a world class fighter.

Froch is the least skilled of the six and most likely will win the whole damn thing!!!
