I think Carl Froch is pretty underrated on this forum.

Lets see what he does to Kessler. Lets also see how long these pages go before someone brings up the fact that they want to do Froch's girlfriend.

The Kessler/Froch fight has taken on more intrigue for me. I know what Froch brings but I'm no longer sure about Kessler.

Style wise Froch is different from AA, that's why, seems obvious to me.

As for my scorecard, why don't you try Reading my post again.

Thats because there are less pure boxers now and more boxer punchers. Its not really over used its just more of a common style. A guy like Paulie Malignaggi is a pure boxer, but a guy like Taylor, or even Dirrell and Ward are boxer punchers.

Not by much. AA has better defense and Froch throws more punches, but both fight in a flat footed pressure style, nothing extraordinary.

Froch is a dirty ass boxer, that's how he beat Pascal by fighting dirty. He was LUCKY to knock out Taylor in the 12th round because if he didn't win by KO, he would of lost. I thought Dirrell should of won against Froch.

That he was fighting his 19th fight, his first fight abroad, his first fight for a title, in his opponents back yard. He had the deck completely stacked against him. It says a lot more about Froch that he barely squeaked out a hometown decision against a guy who is probably two or three years away from peak and who was fighting on a far bigger stage than he'd ever fought on before.

Good post Popkins. The guy always seems to find a way to win. I think the reason people think he is a loss or KO waiting to happen is because, while his record is great, he was fairly fortunate to win each of his last 2 fights, and easily could have lost both. But that being said, he didn't lose and should get the respect a guy with his record and resume requires.
Froch is underrated, the others aren't. Must be a British thing as you said, they're not overrated by anybody who isn't British.

froch wasn't dirty against pascal, did you actually see that fight? it was a great toe to toe battle. taylor was up on the cards but not by much, but you don't last 12 rounds and then knock your opponent into next week by luck.

Ummm. Are we going for over rated here? "knock your opponent into next week". After Pavlik, Jermain was slumped in the corner asking, "Was I knocked out?" After Abraham he was in the hospital asking the same question. Froch? He was center ring asking for a rematch. Jermain gassed and took a nap from exhaustion more than the punch.

I think that he's about to get KTFO by Kessler and then AA will send him to retirement.
If he somehow manages to win, I'll give him major props and I'll become a believer.

Kessler is a bit of a question mark for me at this point. But if he gets by both guys? Yeah, he is better than I have given in credit for, even if it is only in the chin department.
