I think theres a huge cloud surrounding chavez jr, and i honestly think part of the reason he beats martinez is based on this fact. There wont be any olympic style drug tests done on either athlete. And the fight is likely to be held in the state of texas, many things will go unregulated and this would heavily favor chavez, but all of this said, do you think sergio has it in him at 37 to fight the same fight he fought with paul williams the first time, because he'd need this form to beat chavez.
i think chavez for all his faults brings a more organised pressure style then paul williams, and with him coming in as a cruiserweight it adds to problems. Chavez hasn't really shown any real indication of being legitimately hurt, i think its going to be a long fight but wouldn't be surprised if chavez wins a close but hard fought decision.

He will give it a good go but cant see walking through Martinez shots. He throws them at weird angles and Jr will fall right into it.

what about if the ring is small, if chavez comes in over 180lbs, if chavez is pumped with PEDS and if hes wearing lighter gloves? it makes it a tougher nights work.

Even if he is on drugs, he is too slow, too ordinary to beat Martinez.

He is ether being knocked out, or the **** beaten out of him.

Dont matter he wont see Martinez punches coming. If Martinez was the one punching Chavez the other night he would have a head like a ****in butchers block.

Why? Because he beat Andy Lee?

Martinez has KO'd two fighters better than Andy Lee in his last two fights.

  8. Martinez will find a home for his ko shots

Some times evaluating styles can lead to false indication of how a fight goes , example , Mayweather Hatton , top boxing journalists and experts somehow gave Ricky a very good chance because of styles , when the two met it was obvious Mayweathers ability was too much for Hatton and he never really had to dig deep , in essence he was too good

Martinez Chavez is the same for me , Martinez is just too good for Chavez and i see Chavez being bamboozled in large portions of this fight , a little like Calzaghe Lacey if i had to compare

He has a shot, but not a huge one.

His main assets are his size and chin, but his easy penetratable defence will be his downfall in this bout. It's one thing eating Lee's shots, but quite another eating those thuds Maravilla delivers, and probably more often too.

Completely agree. Chavez is one of the WBC's golden boys and has already had a fair few borderline decisions. If it goes the distance, which it may very well do, Chavez must be almost guarunteed to get the decision regardless of who deserves it. Even worse for Martinez, last year he dumped the version of the wbc belt that he had and told them to shove it!
