You can keep thinkin that all you want. But at the end of the day, Margo is about to make a minimum of 2 mil & possibly add a great fighter to his resume. On the other hand, Cotto is bout to try to save his career by fighting a drummer.

to answer the question, sooner or later the punches will catch up to margarito. it happens to just about everybody who relies on their chin. maybe it wont happen vs ssm, but give it a couple years...

 

It's possible but I dont think so.

 

Should be able to tell within a few rounds. Sometimes it seems like when fighters start to show damage it only gets worse. If Shane busts up Margarito's face early we will know, at least physically. Nuerologically, sadly you sometimes just don't know till a fighter gets older. Hopefully that's not just case but I think Cotto might have took more out of Margarito than he took out of Cotto. I think that Cotto basically run out of gas. It will be interesting to see how each does next fight. Sometimes it only takes a few wars before the effects start to show.

 

Ya, imagine what Hatton would do.. Margs a puss to not go down to 140 and challenge a real man. He might finally have his chance to win a linear title then.

 

idk i remember all the hbo announcers saying that after the cintron fight that margarito would be "softened up" for cotto and we all saw how that worked out.

if cotto was able to beat mosley then margarito will too

anyone who saw mayorga, who fights similarly against mosley would have seen how hard of a time sugar shane had

 

Im not counting on it to be an issue...but history has shown us that fights like that can finish a guy..even the winner.
