I think Cotto will get some belts next year and beat Bradley, Hatton and Khan

Can we please read the ****ing thread before commenting? Then you might realise he's talking about Jose, not Miguel.

It is a bit misleading on the OP's part, probably intentional to get hits.

It is way too soon to even say he can jump in with any of those guys. Bradley, Hatton, and Khan would probably say "Who is Jose Cotto'? Actually, this is a new weight class for him so we have to see him in there with a top five guy to see if he can handle 140.

I'm talking about Jose Cotto, not his brother Miguel.

Theres no way in hell he beats bradley, and i think khan and hatton both beat him as well. Hes not a bad fighter but hes not elite and it will show when he fights elite fighters (like it did when he was almost shut out when he fought juan diaz)

Even though this thread is about Jose, I'm surprised those who thought it was about Miguel think Miguel has no chance against those three. You can't write the guy off like that after two losses.Unlike cherry pickers if you aren't afraid to face the best, you will eventually lose some. Ali, Hopkins, glen johnson will tell you.

Well, there is a big difference from say... a Hopkins, and Cotto.

Cotto has taken more punishment in one fight then Hopkins has taken in almost his entire career, Cotto also parties very hard while Hopkins is a gym rat.... Its not about writing a guy off after he loses, its about seeing the reality of the situation, and that is that miguel cotto is on the sharp downturn of his career, and its evident in how he fights now. That being said, cotto is still a top player because hes that good, and i would easily take him to beat Khan and the Hatton fight would be a good scrap that i think Cotto should win, but i think Bradley is too much for Cotto at this stage of his career. Just IMO. Id root for him regardless though, hes my favorite fighter right now, but the writing is on the wall, and this is his last year in the ring.

Cotto cant beat Bradley.Bradley's a tough guy who happens to be intelligent. He's also a Christian brother and you know Christian brothers headbutt a lot e.g Ward & Holyfield so Cotto will be cut all over

Jose Cotto loses to all 3. He's notches below them. Miguel beats them all, but with Bradley, it would be because he's too big for him...if they were the same size, I'd go with Bradley.

With a chin like Khan's,the guy will be the most protected fighter in our era

I hadn't seen him in a while. Guess he took a couple of years off. Unless he improved A LOT, I don't see him winning any of those fights. He was never a major player at LW so what would make you think he could do it at the stacked LWW division?

:good I agree. Hatton's beard is ruined now and he was never difficult to hit. As you say Tommy, Khan has far more skills at his disposal to afford his chin some protection. Imo Hatton would lose by 4-6th round ko (Miguel Cotto has often been a slow starter) as for Khan, well Amir does possess the skills to pull off a win, but I would pick Miguel Cotto by 8-9th round ko. Bradley is a different proposition, that would be an interesting fight but I do not envisage any of these guys fighting Miguel Cotto in the next year, if at all (But I could easily be wrong). P.S: As for Cotto's brother, Jose, to be honest lads I have never seen him fight, and I didn't know he existed until I have just read all of the posts, so I guess I have ****ed up! Sorry guys!:).
