Arr man, I think thats kind of annoying, I was kinda hoping for a Cotto-Mayweather of even a Cotto-Margo 2 (If cotto won of course).

I don't see how Floyd won't fight Cotto after beating Pac. Cotto's name will be huge after that and will have the magnitude to make a fight with Floyd the biggest fight at 147.

If he doesn't then I would really be dissapointed in him.

Me too - these types of clauses are common with high profile fights like this. Pac may choose not to exercise the clause. Hamed had a rematch clause in the contract for his fight with Barrera, but he chose to waive it.

I think he will take the fight (if Cotto wins of course). The fight will make big $$, and he says he wants a few fights before he retires for good. I think he'll take the fights that make the most money so that he can build up his nest egg.

Mayweather believes that he should have the greater split of the purse because he did well (ppv rev) against Hatton and Hoya. Many think that Mayweather better than Pacquiao vs Hatton/Hoya because Pacquiao fought them during recession. Now, IF JMM vs Mayweather do better than Cotto vs Pacquaio then I will agree that the split should be 60-40 in favor of Mayweather of course, if not then Pacquiao should get the higher purse.

He says no. If Pac/Cotto numbers blow him/Marquez out of the water, I think he may reconsider.

This is a huge point that Floyd doesnt want to accept. His fights in summer and winter 07 vs fights in Dec 08(when everything had recently crashed) and May 09(economy still shitty) cant compare. No idea if they would've matched numbers if they both happened with a good economy but its gotta be factored in.

IT WAS 1 MILLION BUYS IN DIFFERENCE WITH THE OSCAR FIGHT.....THATS NOT ALL THE ECONOMY..I GUARANTEE IF THE ECONOMY WAS THE SAME FOR PAC-DE LA HOYA AS IT WAS FOR MAYWEATHER-DE LA HOYA THAN PAC OSCAR WOULDN'T HAVE BROKEN 2.0 MIL WHEREAS FLOYD-OSCAR DID 2.4 MILLION SO THAT ECONOMY EXCUSE IS A JOKE OF AN EXCUSE AND IT NEEDS TO STOP BEING USED...FLOYD IS A BIGGER DRAW AS THE HATTTON AND OSCAR FIGHT BOTH SHOWED IN NUMBERS!:deal

And if pac beats cotto, you can bet arum will want more than a 50/50. If pac wins in convincing fashion and PBF stunk up the joint against jmm (which i think he will) 60/40 pac sounds about right

I don't see why Floyd would fight Pac if he loses to Cotto. If Pac loses, he and Marquez should fight for his lineal title at 140. If Pac wants to fight Floyd at 140, he'll have to take less money.

If Pac and Cotto have a really close fight, then a rematch would be a good option. If that happened, I wish Floyd/Shane would happen in the meantime, and the winners fight each other. That's real wishful thinking of course.
