It does matter, because he left the door open for what happened.

He did not dominate more than four rounds. Therefore, he left eight rounds to be held up in the air. You combine that with getting a point deducted and basically, he was going to struggle to win any round where he wasn't clearly dominant because of his backfoot-turn-clinch style he had.

He had the ability to spank Froch in there and make a huge statement. He just didn't have the willpower to do it.

He fought a good fight against a ugly, dirty fighter. I had Andre winning by a point even after the bogus point deduction. Andre's stock went up and Froch's went down.

Congratulations for what? For running around the whole fight and not applying himself 'cos he was bricking it?

If his Dirrell Bolt is the future of boxing, I'll give up watching boxing. This guy takes running to a whole new level. I don't know about you, I actually want to see a fight.

If you score the fight correctly, its not up in the air. Dirrell was landing more punches, and the cleaner punches. The fact that he did it off the backfoot is immaterial. Froch did nothing to win those rounds, besides the odd rabit punch.

The deducted punch didnt mean much. Dirrell hurt Froch in the 10th, thus making it a 10-10 round.
Again it had nothing to do with willpower. He was wary of Froch power and probably was waiting till the championship rounds so not to get tired like Jermaine Taylor. He probably overestimated Froch, but clearly showed his dominance in rounds 10-11-12 and sealed the fight. If he had fought the same way the whole fight. You'd have a point.

Maybe you should take up MMA. It's a little easier to follow for the lamen who does not understand the sweet science.

Sorry I dont understand dumbass. What is bricking it? Sorry he didnt run. It'd be like calling Ali, Mayweather or Pep a runner. Just because Froch got outboxed from the outside and struggled becuase hes'a crude fighter, doesnt mean Dirrell was running. How can you run when you nearly knock the other guy out. dumbass.

    No thank you Mr Froch.

For your rough tactics. For your hitting behind the head. For your hitting after the break. For your wrestling manoeuvres. For embarrassing yourself and your fans with your clumsy and amateur punches in which 99.9% of them hit air.

    Well done

PS: Good luck against Kessler in Copenhagen :hi:

Dirrell was born with natural abilities at the level of PBF, RJJ...

However, he did fight like a boy last night. He showed those skills in spurts, but it is depressing to see an incredibly talented fighter **** it away because he is either scared to fight or too into watching himself move.

In all honesty Dirrell ought to have stopped Carl in there and have won every round. He showed that he even has great stamina as he finished stronger than Froch - and how many could do that?

When Dirrell grows up he will be something else..

For now - the main reason why Dirrell is not getting congratulations is because he has some rapid fans who doesn't understand why the better fighter (skill wise) did not get the win. They do not understand that you also have to do the work. Dirrell did that in rounds 11 and 12, but should have felt this urgency for all 12 rounds. These rapid fans are Dirrell's biggest problem, because he himself took the defeat graciously - too bad his fans have far less class.

People who say boxers with good footwork and movement are "runners" are IDIOTS. I would like to refer you braindead, gratification now, fast-food eating, reality tv watching jackasses to the UFC.

He really put in a head-turning performance. For a young fighter with NO experience against B level competition, let alone a defending champ in his hometown, Dirrell was fantastic.

Luckily he didn't take much damage from Froch, so there shouldn't be any major hitch in his career other than losing the O. It was the kind of performance he will learn a lot from. Abraham better hope he can catch him with a punch, or its gunna be a long night for him when they meet.

Dirrel is a star in the making.

Then you see Froch pushing Dirrell's head down, and then throwing punches at him, which he was doing the WHOLE night and the ref
    never warned him.
