and heres the twist...I think that by beating Cotto, Floyds resume would be better as well. Keep in mind that Duran have defeated 1 ATG in SRL.

Now heres the dilemma, I see Duran as somewhere inside the top 10 ATG in every list.

I dont need to explain why I see Floyd beating him H2H from 135 to 147.

You could really make a case that Floyd is top 10 ATG

I see both Rays as higher than Floyd, he just cannot surpass the resumes but the skill levels are equal

However both Rays are in the Top 10 ATG.

I also think Hearns can give Floyd problems just because of his style. Pea is a toss up fight even though I prefer Floyds style. Note that Pea is in alot of peoples top 15.

My point is...I cannot separate Duran and Floyds legacies, therefore if hes top 10 ATG after Cotto..he deserves to be there.

I'm not a big fan of Floyd..its an honest observation

P.S. I now believe he's better than RJJ, just because Floyd is very cerebral, it what separates the elites.

After last nights fight, I think that said the exact opposite. Floyd won, but he looked very ordinary and was greatly troubled by Hatton. I think his perceived 'level of greatness' his fanboys give him took a hit more then anything.

it's close..duran was a very special fighter who had an unbelievable combination of both offense and defense even when fighting aggressively.

I believe Duran has the better resume. I would also bet on him to beat Mayweather at 135 or 147.

Duran's wins over a prime Leonard, Buchanan, De Jesus x 2, Palomino, Cuevas, Barkley, Moore, and Marcel surpass Mayweather's wins over De La Hoya, Hatton, Castillo x 2, Corrales, Hernandez, Judah, Gatti, and Jesus Chavez. Mayweather has won titles from 130 to 154 (24 pounds) while Duran has won titles from 135-160 (25 pounds).

If Mayweather were to retire undefeated and beat Cotto and Williams, he has a very good case.

hey Ron went to the same HS as me (a few years older)..hes a good guy. Hatton is a good fighter, not great at all. But its the way that Floyds adjust from round to round, its brilliant. He even plans which rounds to take off.

Sorry Lance, you're off here. Floyd looked ordinary for about the first two, maybe 3 rounds(he won all of those rounds anyway). Once he got into a rythem, he tore Ricky apart. It's not easy to look good against a guy who mauls and grapples, but Floyd still managed to do so.
