GBP is the ultimate Promoter. Unlike Top Rank, they promote their fights. They invest in the promotion. This promotion has been long and heavy. The commercials have been on cable systems for over a week, which only GBP does.

Not to mention they have the ultimate salesman in Floyd. He pulls every WWE prank and pisses off people to no end. He wins. Floyd gets boxing fans, women who love him or hate him, and just average people who hate him.
I don't think it will break records but it will be a huge buyrate.

It won't do 2 million, but it will outdo Pac-Clottey, which will make Money think he really is the greatest attraction not realizing Sugar Shane had something to do with it too.

I'd say 85% of the buys for this fight are going to be because it's Floyd. Shane has never, EVER, had a pay per view event where he was the main attraction. 'Money' is the attraction. I really hope he gives Shane a boxing lesson.

But no matter how it goes, we are all in for a treat come six days!

I think it triples up on Pac-Clottey, and with the amount of sheer promotion being pushed on this fight with everything going back to Super Bowl week, the city by city promotions, the face-off, 24/7, commercials, and with Mayweather's ability to sell fights this fight could do a 2.4 if not higher. But to be safe I'm going 1.9 Million minimum

I doubt it will. I say 1-1.5 mil is a good estimation.
You people give Mosley to much credit as for being a draw I think. The man hasn't fought since Margarito because he couldn't get a fight...He even offered Pac to fight him at like 140! The man was freakin desperate! IF he were a DRAW don't you think he'd have fought in the meantime???
He's a hall of famer, but I don't think he sells that well. As for Floyd...Yeah, he's a draw, but he needs a good opponent to draw big. Hatton had the brits behind him. DLH is DLH and doesn't need anybody. Marquez had the mexicans, and even then...It was still around a mil.
You guys are crazy. I just hope it's a good fight, and helps boxing out.

You think those 2.4 million against Oscar were tuning in to see Money win?

He was pushing big time for the Pac fight, after that failed he got Berto who had to pull out because of the Earthquake.

Mosley got a lot more attention after the beating he gave Margarito.

Im telling, lots of people remember his name after that. And to have him against Mayweather. Will be big.

I don't think anyone is giving Mosley credit as a draw. He's not. It's not about him. It's Floyd. That's the telltale sign of a crossover superstar. But Mosley is more known and respected than JMM so this fight will do much bigger numbers

No, but I don't think that all 2.4 were there to see Oscar win either.

Oscar's two highest PPVs (before he fought Pac)

Totaled to 2.4, the equivalent of Mayweather-DLH.

Let me guess though, the million that payed for Mayweather-JMM bought it because of JMM and Mexican Independence despite that he had a fight against casamayor that was two days before the Mexican Independence and it did shitty.

Or let me guess. Hatton was the reason for all the PPV buys despite having never been on USA PPV and doing relatively low numbers in the UK and then basically tripling his highest PPV sale in the UK when he fought Mayweather.
