Yep. One of boxing's great mysteries. "Floyd vs. Ortiz, what would have happened had Ortiz survived the two-piece?"

I love this little gem. "The ref wasn't even looking!" So ****ing what? It's hilarious. Not only does a fighter need to pay attention to who he's fighting, but apparently he must also be sure the referee is watching each of his punches? No, absolutely not. It's erroneous whether the referee is watching once the action has been called on.

Sugar Ray leonard, Haglar, De La Hoya, Duran etc. none of them would have sucker punched an opponent like that, especially considering the guy was apologizing.
Point was the ref wasn't very clear on what was going on. I remember the UK station didn't even think the ref had said "box". But that really isn't nearly as important as Floyd taking advantage of an unarmed man. No true champion has to take the ***** way out like that, but Floyd does i guess.

    19 pages. Wow...

When Ortiz gets someone to the ropes he doesn't stop punching. He usually takes a step back for a little room and starts throwing punches again.
Against Floyd he took two or three steps back and just stood there.
Floyd walked his ***** ass down and the only think Ortiz could do was headbutt him.

    :!:

The guy had just jump off the ground flyin' billy goat style to head butt him in the mouth!

Then ignoring all that if you wish, dude had just kissed him and hugged him twice!

THEN!, after the ref gave the signal to fight AND Floyd has his hands in a fighting position with a pissed off look on his face, Vic goes for a third hug and you mad Floyd 2 pieced his ass?

There was no sucker punch. There's no such thing as a sucker punch during a round of a boxing match. People who are hating on Floyd are just stupid. By your logic, if you're in a fight, and you're being outclassed, just drop your hands and try to hug your opponent, and he should refrain from hitting you or else its a cheap shot.:rofl

Void Mayweather has no chin. None. 2 - 4 more rounds and Victor would shatter that glass. Void knew that and decided to sucker punch his aggresive and stronger opponent. Void DID NOT win that fight. He made himself look like a chicken and ******* that night. :deal

You know why he was apologizing, right? He had just tried to gain an unfair advantage through billygoating Floyd in the face. Floyd is under no obligation to spend five minutes hugging a guy who just tried to open a cut on him to gain an unfair advantage (or anyone, for that matter - whether they tried to gain an edge through illegal tactics or not).

Whether the UK station thought something happened or didn't is beside the point. The action was called on and that's what counts. It's a boxing match.

That's right. Just go into "hug-mode" and you're clear to not be punched.

Yea, Ortiz was dirty and shouldn't have headbutted him but that wasn't even on the same level as all out sucker punch. Headbutts happen, many of them intentional. He wasn't threatening to rob fans of a fight by doing that, he was just roughin Floyd up a little bit due to frustration and DUE TO FLOYD ELBOWING HIM IN THE FACE, which happened 3 seconds before if you watch the slomo.
Floyd embraced the last hug not giving any inclination he was gonna smack Ortiz. A real man would've just said fuk off and put his hands up ready to fight. Not sneak those sucker punches in like that.
