The reason why Martinez had trouble was because Barker made Sergio come to him. hes dismantled all of his past opponents because they came at him only to be countered by pressure. When Barker opened up Martinez finished him.

Only trouble is is that Floyd could make it awkward for floyd if he fought negatively but as soon as he opened up then Bam! its over.

The only person who can beat Sergio at 160 would be Bernard Hopkins but seeming as he cant make the weight anymore it doesnt look like anyone will

Floyd struggled vs B- level Ortiz
    Martinez would bust Money up.
Sergio Molestor Martinez too slick for whiteboy Floyd.

a floyd loss against martinez is still better than a loss to pacquiao.

i won't be surprised if floyd does fight him at CW of 150 with a rehydration clause to only 160 in return for something.....maybe a 15 day cutoff for blood testing.

    Martinez is overrated a bit.

When he knocked out Williams, suddenly he became invincible.

Gayweather can win but would he fight Martinez?

The Gayweather risk/reward assessment council is composed of 50 people who makes sure that the risk is close to 0 and the rewards are enormous. Hence you have Ortiz. To jumpr from Ortiz to Martinez would be crazy.

Assumig Ortiz vs. Martinez happens, who would win? Ortiz is basically alomos a middleweight or junior middleweight.

All I gotta say is Ortiz is no Martinez and Barker is no Mayweather. Floyd boxes he wins. Sergio makes it a war, Sergio wins. Not sayin Clottey would beat Floyd, but I bet Floyd would struggle with another defensive style he's not accustomed to fighting much too.

I can see Floyd outboxing Sergio. Sergio gives up his height by ducking low to feint and measure, keeps his hands down at his waist, occupies his hands by tugging on his trunks often, and is somewhat redundant in his approach. I think Floyd would figure him out, in a few rounds, while landing his right hand with regularity (jab too).

But, I can see Floyd getting knocked out cold by Sergio too. I don't think he can hurt Sergio. Sergio is unorthodox, quick, fast and strong. One miscalculation by Floyd, like we saw in the 2nd rd of the Mosely fight, and it's lights out, I think. The margin of error would be very small for Floyd in this fight, IMO. I think Floyd would need to use his foot movement more in this fight, unlike his last couple of fights.

    VERY risky fight for Floyd.

I doubt this will be used as any type of bargaining chip, because, Martinez (like Mosley and Ortiz) will, probably, have no major issues with the regimen.

Floyd panics when he is bullied. He'll stick with his shoulder roll that will put him in trouble with Martinez size and power.

If it's at 160 I think that actaully makes the fight somewhat less interesting, because now you have a situation where mayweather cant afford to get hit hardly at all and will probably be knocked out by martinez.

Sergio brings one punch southpaw KO power in both hands. And he is a cerebral fighter. Mayweather has never fought quite such a southpaw.

Ortiz is an accumulation puncher vs top comp.

With Martinez you will always fear the fact that he can pull a punch out of his ass that can ice you at any point in the fight.
