no it wouldnt be. I think Floyd is too smart man, and Zab did stun Cotto 2wice in the fight but jsut couldnt finish the deal. If Floyd stuns cotto its a done deal 4 him, he wont let him off the hook. This is a fight I wanna see so bad, but Floyd is very smart inside the ring, you cant make a statement like this from watching a fight where he dominated an inferior fighter.
I must say I was more impressed with Cotto 2nite than be4, he showed he could box a bit, move around on his toes. So I give him props 4 that. But sayin floyd is an easier match is ludacris

Cotto definately has it better with guys who will let him lead. I mean you saw it tonight. Soon as Gomez started to go backwards he opened up his stomach to being hit. Because Cotto is shorter and he can pretty much get his work in then shell up very well so he doesn't get hit clean. When you let the smaller man get in on you without fighting to push him back it favors his smaller arms.

It's when he doesn't dictate the pace that he is worked at a distance. Like Abdulaev had some success with as did Corely on that one big right hook. And the early success Torres had. When you don't wait on Cotto you stand a much better chance.

Which is why Mayweather would be an easier fight.

Anyone who seriously thinks Cotto would have an easier time with Mayweather rather than Margarito is either a big Margarito fan or doesn't know much about the sport.

There are two things that you need to beat Margo, speed and movement. If you have those two things, you can outbox this guy all night. Cotto is much faster than Margo and has pretty good movement. ****en Paul Williams was boxing circles around Margo.

Floyd, on the other hand, is a complete fighter. Cotto is not faster than him, he won't be able to constantly beat him to the punch. Mayweather also has excellent footwork, is good at creating angles, and is an excellent defensive fighter. Cotto will have a hard time landing that left hook, and he won't be able to constantly plant and throw on Mayweather. Cotto has the ability to beat both, but make no mistake about it, Mayweather is the tougher matchup. It's common sense people, let's not try to outhink ourselves here.

More and more it seems Cotto would be the clear winner.
I go the Sweetscience.com ofter and the polls there think Cotto would destroy Mayrunner.

You are out of your mind. Cotto will beat Margo easily because an elite boxer like Cotto will take advantage of the flaws in Margo's game mainly him being so wide open and his inability to deal with movevment. With PBF Cotto will be fighting someone with equal skills or better. Only a fool would think PBF is an easier fight for Cotto than Margo is.:deal

Oscar waited ALL night to connect one left hook on Floyd. It didn't happen till about 10seconds left in the 12th round. Cotto has about the same chances of landing a big shot.

I want this fight to happen just to hear the apologists afterwards!

Another thing is Mosley who isn't the best defensive fighter took away Cotto's body work for the most part, PBF by being the best defensive fighter in the game can do the same and more. PBF always takes away his opponents best weapon ask Oscar ask Hatton.

I don't think either fight is easier. But I'd favor Floyd to beat Cotto over Margarito, but Antonio could easily do it as well.
