I agree with all of this, and have seen enough of Foreman to comfortably assert that his chin is not worrisome.

    Foreman UD.

Yeah, not pudgy. That sounds soft.

I was thinking "wide but compact" like a little tank.

WOW, get me into the "baffled" list. Not saying is an easy fight , just amazed at how many ppl picking Foreman. BTW, the biggest factor Cotto has against him is Steward himself... I mean, how many fighters has he done good lately? Klit?? Any other? Most of 'em have dumped him after 1 or 2 fights..

Yeah, Steward is PAST HIS PRIME as a trainer. :D Seriously, though. He's done well with a freak of nature Wvlad, it'd be hard to screw that one up. Plus coaching tall fighters is his specialty. But he's been no good at all or even harmful to others (Taylor, Cintron) but everyone just blames the fighters. :patsch And you can see just by this thread that the fans are prepared to absolve Steward of any and all responsibility if Cotto loses. They'll say "Cotto was shot, nobody could have trained him for that fight" etc. And naturally if he wins Steward will get a lot of credit. Guy is in the biggest win/win I've ever ****in' seen.

Very difficult fight to make a sensible pick. There are just to many intangibles to be able to break it down properly IMO. In the end, i've gone with my gut, which says Cotto will win a close decision.

It's interesting that the nearer the fight gets the more people are breaking ranks and picking Cotto. I wonder how the fighter himself is feeling?

I gotta eat my crow and give props to Cotto. Cotto was alot more accurate with the jab than I thought he would be against the moving target that is Foreman. Also, his power carried up to 154 alot more than I thought it would. So I was wrong, I lost 100$, but it was a good fight.

on a side note Roy Jones was great as usual

154 is a lot easier for Cotto than going against guys with fierce speed like Pac and Floyd.

Yep. There's also no one in the division close to as good as Floyd or Pacquiao. He could probably do some damage here.

  14. Well, the fight didn't go how I thought it would, but Miguel did end it on a bodyshot. lol

I also thought Foreman would win the UD on this one. I think he should have jumped on Cotto from the start with flurry and move, but instead he started really slow and that gave Cotto a lot of confidence. I also thought that Foreman would be able to penetrate a lot easier. Cotto's defense was actually pretty tight, and he was actually able to land a lot of jabs as the shorter guy with the shorter reach. I think Foreman showed great heart but his game plan didn't seem all that great.
