Forrest is being forced to fight martinez in his next fight or he must give up his W. B . C belt the fight is dangerous and he wont get much money. he will probably want to give up the title, move up in weight and make a million bucks or so. he also would have a decent chance against pavlik i think.
I think Forrest is underrated by some to an extent, and I think he can beat a lot of good fighters, but I do not like his chances against Pavlik one bit, even if I believe he would keep it competitive while it lasted.
I think Pavlik is the favorite but only slightly, Forrest is a crafty veteran who just might school Pavlik. Not as thoroughly as Hopkins did but it could happen.
Forrest gets tired in the middle rounds, and isn't as good at pacing himself as Hopkins is. He also isn't as skilled defensively, so I reckon Pavlik will have a much easier time finding the mark, and if he finds the mark frequently, I don't think Forrest would have much to answer with. To be fair, I think asking Forrest to move to 160 is asking too much of him.
Why do you guys think Forrest will fight Pavlik? Forrest is scared for his life when it comes to fighting Pavlik.
Personally, I think it would be a bad career move for Forrest, unless he gets duly compensated with a nice payday.
boy I hope you are right about Pavlik being only a slight favorite, I will make a mint. Forest is going to lose.
