I actually got kind of emotional watching that, Freddie is a real credit to the sport. Do you honestly want all non slick boxers to retire from the sport? I prefer watching slick boxers and fight slick myself but you can't honestly think that all non slick fighters are boring to watch
That's actually quite upsetting to watch. Guy is amazing at what he does, hopefully it doesn't get worse and he stays functional for a long time.
This was a terribly articulated post but the guy has a point. That was sad to look at from a compassionate perspective. Yes this is boxing and yes people have to get hit, but you shouldn't take unnecessary blows if you can avoid them. However as far as roach is concened, I believe that the tremors aren't are bad when he is active, its only when he's still that they become glaringly noticeable. I actually think his job is good for his health and helps him to fight his condition.
So Manny Pacquaio should go find a different sport because he is not slick and is guna end up like Freddie Roach but Floyd Mayweather wont which is proof hes a better boxer???
Yeah, Freddie needs to sit back and take it easy, his doctor needs to adjust his meds, maybe a higher dose of carbilevidopa. As for his getting parkinsons from boxing, thats just plain stupid and shows how much the OP truly knows about the fight game. Ali was a slick fighter, he's got it. Michael J Fox never took a shot in his life, and he's got it. My grandpa worked on the railroads for 55 years, and he died from it. Fighters get punchdrunk from not being slick ala Riddock Bowe, Evander, Shane etc etc etc. It does NOT cause parkinsons. Moron.:rofl And Floyd will get KTFO if he fights Paq, who is both slick, and a banger.:deal
Sad actually....got to credit Freddie (and advances in modern medicine) for making his life a success, in spite of this.
He's doing ok at the mo. Has good fighters who are happy with him so why retire. As he has said time an time again it's the work that keeps him going. Helps with his illness
You chat ****. Mohammed Ali was one of the slickest heavyweights of all time, didn't stop him from getting Parkinson's did it? Any boxer can get the disease, including your boy Mayweather. So be careful who u make fun out of.
