1) Hopkins would have something to prove after his last fight. 2) Froch isn't as dangerous as Kov. 3) Froch would try and retire him. 4) Froch's engine and ability to take a shot, coupled with Hopkins lack of power would mean Carl would have no fear of him. 5) They're both at the end of their careers. They'd leave it all in there. 6) If Bernard travels, he'd have to kill Carl to win. Hence the fight not being boring. I think it'd be a war.
If bernard keeps smart and isnt outworked and pushed in the earlier stages- froch prefers to warm up. he will probably land all night and have enough wit to keep out the way. The reach is about the same, Hopkins doesnt use his jab much anymore. If froch can outjab him, and then push on the gas in the middle of the fight, he could take over the fight. its funny because whilst hopkins is better inside, he will be eating alot rabbit punches from froch who can also be filthy, nasty and dirty.
If you put ward and hopkins in the same bracket. can see why ward dont want to move up to 175. :scaredas::shock:

Hopkins couldn't even do anything to Dawson. B-Hop even won a Raz award for his acting like a boxer in those fights. I would rather see Froch v Chavez Jr. At least I know Chavez Jr will fight.
MVC. Listen chap. Ward is 10 times more athletic, faster, fitter and all round better than hopkins is right now. Froch vs Hopkins will be a closer fight. But obviously if YOU dont rate ward that highly, i can see why he would avoid the murders row at 175lbs.
