It's brave pick. I think you're wrong, I've never been to impressed with Geale. He doesn't have the power to stop Golovkin walking him down and has a tendency to stand in front of his opponent. I think Golovkin stops him in 4-6 rounds.

The "I think xxx could beat Golovkin" threads started with Proksa, right? Rosado, Stevens, Macklin .. all were supposed to beat Golovkin, all of them were literally destroyed. All of them also gave other MW's like Martiez or Quillin hell.:rofl

Geale will still be trying to win, even back pedaling, he'll try and adapt.
Geale mightn't be up to GGG's level, but we don't have a Macklin on our hands here - Geale won't lay down like Macklin.

i wouldn't call getting your rib broken on a liver shot lying down. that would have PUT down most boxers, of any weight.

stats like that are meaningless with Triple G. he mixes up the speed of his shots as well as the power like few fighters ever before with such precision placement. that's why guys back up and want the hell out of there. you don't know when or where he is going to hurt you.

Geale looked ineffective for most of the fight with Barker, just don't see how he lasts the distance with Golovkin hunting him down.

Good opinion, even if I disagree.

I love Geale and have properly rated him over the last couple years unlike a lot of you, but unless Golovkin's opposition has completely misled everyone (which to a small extent is almost certainly true for most of the fanboys), then he should be able to dispatch Geale in the middle to late rounds. Geale didn't evade Barker's length well at all and in that fight he also made no adjustments. Not good trends against Golovkin.
