I think Geale may beat Golovkin.

But you have to admit that Macklin was flabby in his midsection not quite in the same shape he was against Martinez and Sturm. Macklin was needlessly reckless did not fight intelligently and lost all composure, he mentally lost before he stepped in the ring.

He knew Sergio had KO'd him and Sturm was wrecking his body and he was badly winded late in their fight. So obviously he knew he was screwed the moment the fight was made. Macklin was in bad shape physically and mentally with a year off ring rust, so not a great barometer of how a top tier guy will do against GGG.

 

I just checked you were one of the guys saying there is a reason why Ruslan is the favorite, and that no one thinks Algieri will win.

Actually on that same thread I predicted almost to perfection how that fight went and predicted a win for Algieri. So maybe your the one who doesn't know much, I never said its a guarantee but kneejerk faith in your favorite fighter does lend itself to Pavlovian thought, and lack of critical analysis.

 

I said kneejerk faith leads to a lack of critical analysis I feel the same way about contrarianism as well, I never make my picks based on anything but inductive reasoning.

I only go against the grain if I have some form of evidence to support a seemingly illogical choice, sometimes I'm wrong but rarely. Its never a guarantee that anybody is going to win in boxing, but when you use your head and not your heart you tend to be right more often than not.

Although sometimes the heart wins and mind loses you won with one of your favorites Cotto and I lost with mine Martinez.

 

No its not I actually believe that Geale has a chance, but your right GGG destroys Quillen easily.

Barker was a bad style match up for Geale, whereas Geale has potential to be bad style match up for GGG.

 

Maybe I have a point. Maybe he sees what I see.
