i think george foreman is the hardest puncher ever

    I agree with you, the original version of Big George was scary! The new guy is a much nicer man.

    Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson & Lenox Lewis all deserve an honorable mention.

    I have heard that Shavers was a beast!! but I have never seen any of his fights so I can't comment.

    Possibly that is true. I'm sure that even though George is almost 60, he can still hit like a mother. He was the first to knock out Joe Frazier, no easy task. Plus he has one of if not the highest ko percenteges of any heavyweight champion. Earnie Shavers could contend Georges claim to the hardest hitter fame, but George kayoed better fighters. When George kayoed Michael Moorer, it was with a very short unassuming looking right hand. But it paralyzed Michael and left him laying there with blood pouring out his mouth. All from a right hand that traveled 6 inches.
    Yes, might be safe to say George hit harder than anyone, ever.
