Martinez. Now the reason why? It's easily simple most ppl for some reason wants to see Martinez vs chavez jr rematch because of what happen in round 12 but most ppl wants to see Martinez vs golovkin. Me I rather see golovkin get his shot at Martinez but right now it makes more sense to have ggg face chavez jr 2 knockout punchers which style wise have fight of the year written all over it. Anyway chavez jr vs ggg makes the most sense now cause whoever wins easily deserve a Martinez showdown and besides Martinez when he returns has to fight wbc mandatory challenger Rubio next. If ggg beats chavez jr on hbo, he'll get even more exposure which Martinez vs ggg would make perfect sense to be on hbo ppv. So what you all think?

GGG vs Jnr should happen, but won't. One, because of the HBO/SHO-GBP silliness, and two because JCC Jr would probably get embarrassingly brutalised.

if GG wants to fight a moving punching bag, why doesn't he fight the Michelin man?

I agree with the thread - starter. That fight makes a lot of sense.

Plus Bob Arum has nothing but good things to say about GGG, and Chavez Jr. is Top Rank correct?

GGG and JR are both with HBO

That being said, its hard for me to see bob making this fight. He can still milk jr without feeding him to someone like G

If Jr can make weight this would be an amazing fight.

Martinez is feather-fisted compared to golovkin and he was able to bust chavez jr up, so what do you think golovkin would do? If chavez fights golovkin he would get brutalized, because he has sh** defense and golovkin would probably stop his a** on body shots also.

This is the fight that should happen next, and to make it even sweeter for GGG, fight Junior in his home away from home in Texas. That way we are sure that he can make the 160 limit by any means necessary. The bigger they come, the harder they fall will be the line of the night when GGG puts Junior to bed like a goodboy.

Dude no one in the USA is going to pay to see GGG fight. You are dreaming. GGG will never be a PPV star in the USA. Hell Wlad can't even make HBO or even ESPN. BTW Chavez beats Golovkin on cuts.

GGG has not Martinez legs, so he will be easier to find for Chavez. Chavez also has the frame to outmuscle GGG, and his chin is good enough to try to bully GGG in the infighting if he is able to get in.

I favor GGG to win, but IMO this is the biggest fight that could be done in MW in 2013-2014.

I imagine if Chavez stays at middle, HBO will let him take on the Barker-Geale winner so he can still potentially parade around with a belt. If he moves up to 168, Top Rank will try to outbid GB for Bika's WBC belt.
