I think Haye COULD beat Klitschko. See how Haye fares agaisnt guys bigger than him and if he can take a big shot. If so he can beat him. Haye would be by far the best opponent Wlad has faced.
I doubt it....for starters he is used to being the larger man, his defense and technique can be sloppy at times, and he hasnt had to deal with a world class jab like Klitschko possesses. Not only that Wlad is the most technically sound heavyweight right now and has improved alot since his losses. He knows how to make other fighters fight his fight. He is a bit too seasoned, powerful, and technically sound for Haye who is a great physical specimen has all the natural talent in the world but still seems a lil raw.
Haye hits hard, and he has rhythmm, timing and speed. His defense is questionable, but he really doesn't get hit with THAT many clean shots, at least not nearly as many as he hits his opponents with, and he was able to get away with leaving his left arm down in a division with faster opponents. He also has a high level of confidence and even Holyfield says that he is impressed with the kid and believe he has what it takes to get to the top. My only concern is obviously his chin, and whether or not he really DOES have it in him to be the champ because he may find himself in a war at some point and I'm not entirely sure how he'll respond to it. ......... Anyway as far as Wlad is concerned, if Haye can use his speed, he'll be able to evade a lot of Klitschko's punches and considering Klitschko doesn't like to be hit at all, when Haye gets him with his faster punches, it's only a matter of time before Klitschko folds like a lawn chair. (At least based on his passed performances in which it seemed to be the case, the Ibriganov fight not withstanding.) At the same time though, Klitschko just has to land one right hand bomb, but I'm not so sure he can land his before Haye lands enough of his to put Klitschko down.
How would Haye be the best opponent he has faced by far??? Chris Byrd IMO was....better skills, better fighter.
Byrd was not much of an offensive threat due to his lack of power. Haye has Knockout power and hands just as fast as Byrd's.
I agree with you at least in the sense that I think Haye would get beat right NOW if he jumped in against Klitschko, but after a few fights, I think he'll have the experience to put Klitschko away.
Byrd is a better opponent than Haye regardless of whether or not he posed a threat to Wlad or not. So you rank Haye higher than Byrd based on what?
