Styles make fights. Byrd is probably a better pure boxer than Haye, but he his lack of power makes him a perfect opponent for Klitschko.

Klitschko will destroy a boxer with no power especially when Klitschko's weakness is when his opponent hits him and delivers effective pressure.

Undisputed CW Champion moving up in weight is the best thing to happen to the HW divison in years.

You're out of your damn mind ... everyone on Haye's resume gets knocked out by Wlad ...

Wlad is just as fast, stronger, better skilled/schooled, has the better pro and amateur pedigree ...

Wlad doesn't rely on just power, unlike Haye and can box going the distance.

I haven't seen a fighter yet that could get past Wlad's jab and Wlad can win the fight off the jab alone. Haye's only chance would to overwhelm Wlad with punches and hope to speed up the pace, but at HW he would run the risk of getting tired out.

Wlad is no Jean-Marc Mormeck and no Enzo Maccarinelli ...

He's the number #1 HW in the division and stands no chance of losing to the Cruiserweight champion. This is a different league and Haye's sole arguement is that he's strong and athletic, but so is Wlad ...

He said that he's bigger than Holyfield, but Holyfield had skill, speed, escapability, great footwork (could fight going backwards) and didn't need to rely on power to get him through the division.

Holyfields chin also stood up to the punches of those big guys ...

Its cool that Haye is confident but being confident before the fight and being it during the fight are two totally different things.

Wlad KO 8 -- the jab and overall skill will get him though, not to mention that he weighs 30-40 pounds of solid muscle over Haye.

    Its hardly unrealistic.

Look at this this way. Wlad doesn't like to be hit. Sam Peter had him clinging on for dear life, and Purrity, Sanders and Brewster and knocked him clean out. OK, those all all massive punchers, but I think its fair to say that Wlad Klitschko's chin is a weakness.

Now, we can forget about the Purrity and Brewster KO's. Purrity he was green and he gassed, and he was beating the **** out of Brewster til he punched himself out.

But the Sanders defeat cannot be written off in such a manner. All it took was a big punching heavyweight with fast hands, who showed Wlad no respect and took the fight right to him from the start, to utterly demolish him. You cant make any excuses for that defeat, Wlad was beaten and his weaknesses exposed.

David Haye would do the very same thing. He would attack Klitschko straight from the opening bell, showing him no respect. He has fast hands and is a proven finisher. We already know that this type of fighter can beat Klitschko. Sanders was a late-30's, semi-retired fighter who decided to go all-or-nothing and it paid off. Haye is like Sanders but younger, fitter, hungrier and more talented.

The only thing that makes this a doubt is wether or not Haye can take Klitschko's power. Klitschko is a monster puncher and a good boxer, he is just as capable of taking out Haye as Haye is capable of taking out Klitschko. Should this fight happen, and I imagine it will, it will be an early KO. The outcome depends on who lands first, and judging by recent performances and attitudes Haye is the one more willing to take a risk and look for the KO.

So I'd say Haye has a very good chance of winning this. I'll reserve judgement until David has fought a couple of guys at Heavyweight, but looking at it at the moment it's a 50/50 fight and I'd slightly favour Haye based on his youth and aggression.

you dont have to pose an great offensive threat to be a better fighter....ever heard of Willie pep, Pernell Whitaker, Ivan Calderon, Stevie Johnston...the list goes on. Haye is a great offensive force than Byrd but as far as skills, tactics, defense, and the nuances in the sport Haye isnt close. Power doesnt make you good fighter, skills do.

Haye is better off fighting a guy like Povetkin or Ibragimov to test his skills because they are small HW's with strength and speed. These guys also have a high workrate and can throw tons of punches for 12 rounds.

Ibragimov has a great chin, speed, and deceptive power ... I think Ibragimov can knockout Haye and Povetkin can knock him out by wearing him down or take him the distance and blow him out in a decision.

Haye is what the HW's have been missing (controversay) but he's not good enough to become the elite.

    Naturally he's 215 ... with weights 225 ... Wlad is naturally 250 - 260 pounds of solid muscle.

    exactly:-( :-(

he has no defense, is very sloppy and no head movement. His natural athletic ability lets him get away with it most times....but people forget he he already has a lose on his record as well. Time will tell but at this point Chris Byrd was a better fighter. Offensively Haye is a dynamo, but technically he is raw.

They said all that about Bowe. And although Holy was better than Haye, equally Bowe was better than Wlad.

People talk Wlad is invincible. He's been sparked out by 3 B-level fighters already, its very likely it will happen again.

i like haye.. he's my 3rd fav. fighter, but.... i just dont see that ever happening, wlad's too big, too long (no homo) and's got too much power for haye.... but i can still see him being able to KO 99% of the heavies out there... other then wlad of course

people think Haye is a bad-ass he sparked out a past prime Jean Marc Mormeck who cant fight past 6 rounds nemore, Tomasz Bonin(average contender), and Enzo Maccrenelli(average) at crusierweight. Wlad has beaten more top ten heavyweights than any fighter this decade.
