Its possible, definitley possible. Klit's got a suspect jaw and Haye hits like a mule. But then again, the same could be said the other way around. I'd love to see this fight. Its the best in the devision right now
Rather than going over again and again how hard Haye can hit ask yourself this question: is he capable of negotiating Wladimir's defense and putting himself in the position where he can land a meaningful punch? The real issue is the fact that opponents cannot seem to get to Wladimir's chin to test it. Between the jab, the movement, the right hand that swats left hooks away, and the tactical holding, you've got a defense that is very difficult for any fighter to figure out.
Which is exactly what will happen when he fights haye. Haye is faster and more athletic than the aging semi-pro golfer Corrie Sanders. Who gives a **** about resume, a resume doesn't win fights, talent does. I swear boxrec has ruined the ability of boxing fans to analyze fights correctly.
Sanders was a big HW 6'4 230 ... he was fast ... very strong with the left hand and he was a southpaw. I think thats why Wlad played it so smart against Ibragimov ... he didn't want to throw a right hand and get countered with a strong ass left hand.
#1 no HW has an iron jaw and all great HW's have taken a KO loss ... fortunately that Marciano got out of the game before that happened. These guys are too big and don't have to have much but power ... there are so many strong guys in the division - the chin factor gets thrown out the window. I would like to see Haye take a flush shot from a legit top 5 HW ... you think that he can knockout Chegaev? GTFO of here #2 It doesn't matter how strong Haye is ... he's not stronger than Sanders, Ibragimov, Peter, or Brock. Yeah Haye is strong at cruiserweight but thats cruiserweight ... not HW ... He's not used to get tapped on that chin by a guy that weighs 225lbs ... He hasn't went the distance with a guy thats bigger than him with a high workrate and that has more power than any guy that he's ever face. I'm not sold on this guy and I'm wondering what true boxing fan would be? He's not as skilled as Holyfield ... strength is thrown out the window when everyone in the division is strong. Speed gets thrown out the window, when everyone in the division is fast. Don't claim that Wlad doesn't have a chin when he's taken shots from full fledged HW's ... Haye doesn't have defense and is hittable ... yeah he's an athlete, but he has yet to take a shot from a full fledged HW. No one knows how his chin would stand up against a HW power shot ... no one knows how his speed will hold up against a guy who's just as fast. Wlad is also good on his toes and can box his ass off ... shame on you guys to think that one man who's only fought at the division once and hasn't fought an elitist will do anything to the #1 guy.
i have thought from day one that he has the speed skills power etc but he cant jump in with him now, like you have said a few fights and then fight wlad and he could not sure whether he will but he certainly could
If Haye gains 15-20 pounds, keeps his quickness and has ANY kind of chin, he can absofuccinlutely beat Wlad. No question. I am looking forward to this fight in 09'.
What about the experience that Wlad has ... you guys act as if Speed, Power, and athleticism carries you to greatness. Thats so dumb ... You guys don't know **** about boxing ... if greatness was determined by physical attributes then Tyson wouldve been undefeated ... Lewis wouldve lossed more than two fights ... Ali wouldn't have been Foreman ... Foreman wouldn't have beat Moore ... This isn't boxing ... Chin has nothing to do with it .... Name on HW with a chin that has never got knocked out (no mention of Marciano)
No one is doubting that Haye can beat Wlad, but Haye's defence is a massive question mark. If Wlad comes in aggressive and lands a good punch early, I think he will take Haye's head off.
Dude, all i'm saying is if Brewster and Sanders beat Klit, Haye certainley can too. Do i think Haye can take a good shot from Klit? probably not, but i'm not too confident that Klit can take a good shot from Hay neither. Thats what makes this fight worth seeing.
