Byrd is a more proven heavyweight than Haye as of now, but a better opponent for WALD? **** no, Byrd had zero chance of beating WALD because he had nothing to hurt the guy with. Haye can and will hurt WALD.

Haye's been KOing guys who weigh 40-50 pounds less then the guys he'll be facing soon. A little premature to assume he'll KO HW's till he shows he can. My 2 cents.

I don't think it would be an easy night for Haye. Especially when Klit starts controlling his aggressiveness with that jab and slows him down. Haye's only chance is an early KO IMHO.

I see your point and raise you:

What makes you think Wlad won't hit Haye before Haye hits Wlad? Even if Haye gets his big shots off, Klitschko has never been down for the count and he's faced the best available HW's, unlike Haye. Haye has been knocked down by smallish Cruisers who aren't exactly power punchers. Wlad has been down vs. Purrity, Sanders, Brewster, TOS & Peter - All well known big punchers if nothing else.

That was a great fight (Vitali vs. Lewis) but it could've gone either way at any moment & that's why it was a good fight. God I would've loved to see the rematch!!!

you forgot steve pannell... anyway, many of these knockdowns were collapses (purrity, brewster), illegal punches (peter) or off balance (tos) where he was not hurt at all. but you are right, wlad has proved that he can get up after a knockdown and dominate the rest of the fight or finish it. so even if he gets knocked down vs. haye (which is unlikely), he will put himself together and probably ko him.

rahman and mcall hit lewis with massive one shot punch's, wlad has never benn hit with shts that big if he had been he would have been koed. Wlad has been down 13 times against lewis 2, when lewis fought better fighters and much bigger hitters, so who looks to have the better chin.:huh
I don't think wlad has a better a jab or better foot work, most people apart from big wlad fans regonise that lewis is a few levels aboe wlad.

I'd fancy Haye to take Wlad. He's got the speed, power and aggression.
One thing that annoys me is the suggestion that Hayes too small. Can't see this at all, Holyfield was smaller than him after all.
If Haye falls short at this challenge it will be because he's not good enough, not because he's too small.

OK, lets have a reality check here people.

Wlad KO's Haye without breaking a sweat. I mean.... seriously.

And it has almost nothing to do with size. He's just better.

Maybe Haye won't get big shots off before WALD, maybe he'll get hit by WALD and take the punch, maybe he'll hit WALD with big rights and nothing will happen....I accept all that. What I'm suggesting is that when WALD fought Byrd there were no 'maybes' in the fight whatsoever. At least the fight with Haye will be interesting, and at least Haye will actually come to fight, you know he's not going to be leaning away all night like Sultan did. Haye will come to the ring trying to take WALDS head off. Whether he does it or not is another matter.

The most Wlad has weighed in at is 246.5

Haye won't come right at Wlad from the opening bell because his own chin is suspect. He'll have to be more cautious. He can afford to be reckless about as much as Wlad can
