I think Hearns would have smashed Mayweather. Such a great fighter.

Hearns stood off Benitez and didn`t over committ to his shots, Conor did this well to Floyd for a few rounds proving the vastly superior Hearns could have used that tactic better, I`m setting up a poll if anyone cares or is pissed.

I think Hearns is the worst style for Mayweather to go against at 147.

    Hearns KO is very probable.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a rational breakdown or analysis on how Mayweather beats Hearns.

Hearns wins 10 times out of 10.

In fantasy matches FMJ looses every single fight but in reality the guy is undefeated and while stone old beat the One Trick Pony Manny Pac without getting out of first gear.

The options are not what I would want. It would have been a close fight but Hearns would have edged it by decision or late knockout. I don't see an early knockout. No.

The key is for Hearns not to get cocky and to land his jab and win the way he beat Benitez. The exact same fight.

Hearns started his career around where Floyd finished his. I don't think it takes a genius to realize the bigger guy can win the fight. That's why we have weight classes.

Imagine Floyd fighting at 175 lmao.

    1. He definitely doesn't lose every fantasy match
    2. The guy shouldn't be undefeated
    3. Pacquiao is a one trick pony?
    4. And if he was, wouldn't that devalue Floyd's win?

And what's you point? That he beats Hearns? Give us a breakdown.

People forget that Mayweather was at his best at 130 ... recently saw him against Corrales and could hardly believe how exceptional he was .. at 147 he may have beaten Hearns who was not at his own prime at 147 .. it would be interesting ..

Although I only agree in theory that Hearns could be a bad matchup Floyd is so adaptable I wouldn’t pick anyone to beat him at his best. Maybe out of ten fights w someone he loses some but I think he would always come out on top within his weight range. I’ve never seen anyone like floyd and no one else has either. Compubox proves that. Spent half my life hoping he’d get knocked out the later half sitting back and appreciating the brilliance.

The key is the jab and I really cant figure out how this goes. Floyd is so damn good at making adjustments and hard to hit clean with his defense. The problem isn't just size, hearns wasnt a mere power puncher he was an excellent boxer. And yes he lacks a chin but at 147 floyd's power was above average at best so I highly doubt hearn would have anything to worry about.

I think even if floyd has a better connect% and makes hearns miss, hearns could steal rounds with volume and bullying Floyd with his reach. Floyd could end up dropping the decision due to Hearn controlling the pace.

I don't see hearns getting a ko unless floyd is dead tired to the point he cant keep his hands up and hearns nails him with a perfect 1-2 late rounds. And Floyd has literally never been that tired but anything is possible, i will not hesitate to admit this is a bad matchup for Floyd.

Hearns destroys Mayweather Jr at welter. He'd have the same issue Cuevas and Duran had and that's having to stand almost straight up to reach Hearns . Sure Mayweather Jr is much more defensively sound, but that also means he would be much more offensively reluctant, plus, he doesn't have the firepower to hurt Hearns unlike Cuevas and Duran at welter and above. Mayweather Jr never faced ANYONE close to the speed, power, skill level, not to mention height and reach Hearns would have over him, I don't recall him facing anyone he was a underdog against and he would've been a definitive underdog against Hearns... The question should be would he have dared to be great and actually get in a boxing ring with a fighter like Hearns..Personally I doubt he would.
