I think if pac wants a title he needs to get it without the catchweight b.s

People want pac to make history, so do I but that doesn't mean handing that out to him so he could achieve it easily.

I don't want to hear "oh but pac used to be a flyweight, and just a year ago he was a superfeatherweight"

thats just completely irrelevant, and do we need this catchweight because of that? If he wants to make history then make him earn it.

"oh but this is completely unfair, cotto would balloon to 160+ on fight night, we need this catchweight to even out the playing field"

So? thats how it is..lets have cotto defend it regularly like he used to do, if pac wins despite that there would be no excuses, no ifs and no buts compared to the terms given out right now. If a lot of people are against such terms right now, what more if pac wins with those terms? He would just get more haters instead of respect.

Does making history involve evening out the playing field? of course not..spud webb and nate robinson for example didn't ask to lower the board because they are too small to win a slam dunk competition.

I maybe a floyd fan, but i'm a fan of pac too and if he wants to get a 7th title he needs to get it legitimately minus the b.s terms. All the other pacfans who would criticize me for my view should first ask this question. Do i have faith in my hero? Cause if you do have faith and believe that pac would win you would see it the same way as i do minus all the b.s that would just generate to hate and criticism if he ever wins.

Fight cotto for a title letting him defend it normally without the b.s terms or fight him at a catchweight without a title or no fight at all. thats how i see it.

The weight is no issue, there have been similar cases and belts were on the line. No big deal, the weight is what Cotto asked for anyway, Pacquiao wanted 143, Cotto demanded 145 or nothing and he got it.

Agreed Pac should go out like the Great Champion that he is. I respect Cotto for taking a stand on this issue. Ive lost a lot of respect for Roach in these past few weeks trying to pimp Cotto but Cotto aint having it.

also i'd like to add the belts are a joke..and i don't know why people would argue about some WBOgus belt and mostly these are the same people who thinks wbo is the least credible belt among the abc orgs. I would love the fight to continue no matter the weight, and if cotto vacates let it be..

Nobody sees this as a true title fight, just a great fight. Cotto wanted 145 because he knew that Pac would not take the fight at the ww limit. ***** move...

Fighters love their titles that they worked hard for. Fans don't understand this for some reason. The bogus titles comment is thrown around here carelessly like nothing. We know that there should only be one title, one champion, but the reality is there are 4 major titles out there.

i dont see it as a true title fight as well, but like i said if pac wants to make history then he needs to earn it and fight like any challenger against the champ not the other way around

Cotto also said if Pac and his team as for anything below 145 he won't take it so Cotto agreed on this and if it was a ***** move he already said he has other options to look at and is not forced to take this.

also pac did it against hatton and diaz. **** he got my respect when he won those fights and the titles on those fights because he earned it but that doesn't mean he gets a pass this time. I don't care if its his last 2 fights or its because he is p4p no.1 that he gets somethin like a pass to call on the terms.

I want him to make history as much as these pacfans do but without the handicaps

Cotto wants the fight, the money, and that's it. If he wanted to put his title on the line, he'd pay the sanctioning fees, and announce that his title is on the line. How can fans see this as a 147 lb fight when they agreed to fight at 145 lol... I wonder what the other 147 lb champions and top contenders think of this fight being a ww championship fight. Cotto isn't being forced to DO anything, he is being forced to AGREE with anything.

Pac is giving Cotto his biggest payday ever and he wont even put his belt up....Hes not even the "real" WW champ(Mosley is) so really the belt isnt worth that much to begin with...Cotto will have to come in ONE pound lighter than he did in the clottey fight so what hes saying is BS
