I think it’s time Yarde stepped up to British level at least

    Let’s be honest

He’s ducked the likes of buglioni and burton in the past, yes blame warren if you want.

Frank has recently stated yarde is beyond British level and yet he’s handed a shot at beterbiev and declines which is laughable

He’s clearly happy to defend that wbo trinket against cab drivers and nobodies but let’s look at the British light heavyweight division, it’s stacked!!!

    Johnson
    Burton
    Buglioni
    Ajisafe
    Ball
    Summers
    Shinkwin
    Sheriff
    Conroy
    Richards

Enough messing about now, fight one of these or step up to Murat

FW made it quite clear yesterday they have no intention of fighting Johnson. Apparently they only wanted Buglioni and wasn't bothered about the British title.

In the same breath FW said Yarde is number 2 in the WBO and is on the verge of a title shot.
Well apparently Yarde was offered Beterbiev and they turned it down, so make of that want you want.

Let's not forget they ruled out Burton too.

So in my opinion they are carefully guiding him, padding his record and waiting for a opportunity they can't refuse, like a vacant title shot, fight for a "regular" world title or something like that.

Or they are waiting until they have no other option but to step it up, which could be a couple of years the way they are moving him along.

But yeah I agree, Yarde should be upping the level of opposition, it's getting a little embarrassing to be honest.

It makes me wonder if they know something we don't, is he packing glass? Don't they have any faith in him whatsoever?

How can you be number 2 in the world without beating a top 30 fighter?

This is where my money would be..

It's clear as day that they are looking at Yarde from a marketing point of view. He looks cool, looks the part.. he's giving it the swagger and the bravado (which I don't think represents his personality). They want to combine the muscles and pec-dancing with a padded record and market him as some unstoppable monster. I imagine he is getting a few £ in the meantime. Wouldn't surprise me if they have lost money on him.

If he had the same attributes but was goofy looking with no muscle definition, then you can be sure he would have been in with someone on the British scene by now.

Shame really because I think Yarde is almost at the point of being underrated now. He's got power and skills... needs to work on his defence but I still think he has the potential to do something at world level. Not Kovalev in 2 fights though as his 'BO ranking' somehow suggests..

Is he though? Judging by the IFL interview he did recently he was basically saying he wants a big whack to fight Yarde and was going on about wanting to only fight for Hearn the cheeky ******* as if Hearn gives a monkeys about him.

    They didn't "duck" Buglioni.

They offered a deal to Buglioni and they turned it down.

Genuine question here, has a FW fighter won another world title other than the WBO in the last 7/8 years?

cant disagree with any of this to be fair. He might be above British level but the difference between that and world level at LHW is huge.

Yarde if good enough should just look to win the British belt, defend it to own it outright, then go for european by then he will be as ready as he ever will be to challenge for a world title. thats what another five fights against better opposition and if he aint ready for world level after that then he never will be
