I think its a disgrace how Kermit Cintron gets a title shot

pathetic, cintron is shot to **** but still a step up for ginger bread

 

because titles mean nothing anymore....
the guy that fought guillermo jones for the wba cruiser title never had 1 fight at that weight....brian magee really beat no one to get a shot at butes belt...he gets knocked out and his next fight is for the WBA version... manfredo had a winning streak, but no one ranked under 75 in the world i could go on...

 

Internet forums I swear... not 2 months ago people were whining about Canelo's level of opposition, and now when he faces his career-best opponent... it is a disgrace? Have at least a little consistency with your criticism...

Cintron pretty much won every round vs. Williams before the incident, close ones, but he landed the crispier shots in at least 3 rounds... the loss to Molina is a knock on his record surely, but Lara almost got one too (escaped with a draw), Molina, who should have a win over Chavez Jr., was coming in with his career-best run.

Cintron, a little faded, is still a solid and formidable top10 contender who'll likely take Canelo more seriously, his straight power punches could give the young ginger a LOT of troubles if he shows up with the Brother Cotto flaws... and if the people still riding the Cotto fight have any consistency... they better view this as a legit threat because Cintron is levels above bro Cotto...

 

lol, margo gets caught cheating, KOed, wins a shitty UD vs shitty comp...then somehow gets a title shot for a vacant title in a weight class he has never done anything in vs. a high profile guy....that's just the way these lame titles work

Canelo is being spoon fed. hes only 20 yes but hes holding a world title.

Canelo is being built into the next mexicano super star so a loss to the likes of Molina, Lara, Cotto, Margarito, Kirkland, Angulo would be bad

Its a step up in terms on Names but Canelo needs to fight the true contenders for the right to be called a world champion
