I think it's quite ridiculous to want Golovkin to face Ward

It's not a ridiculous thing to want to see happen as they are two great fighters. However, GGG wants to clean out 160 and you have to respect that. What's ridiculous and hypocritical is the same people who want GGG to move up and face Ward are against Ward moving up to face Kovalev and vice versa. Really though, Ward needs to sort himself out career-wise before a GGG fight can happen.

    That wasn't Dawson's idea. :verysad

"My honest opinion is it was definitely a set up by HBO and other people, too. It was set up for me to come in at 168. I would be vulnerable and they could expose it and he would look good at the same time. That's just my opinion on the whole situation. We could've done it at a catch weight where we both would've been comfortable but they wanted it at 168."

In Nov 2012, Dawson responded to a fan on Twitter and said "I was told to say that" (re: "168 or 175, don't matter to me").

I doubt Ward will take on Krusher in his first fight at 175. Don't know why the same is expected from GGG at 168
