Yes he was ...naturally, so his body could cope.As has been said, extra (read pumped) muscle will fatigue anyone in the later rounds. Great if the extra power can be utilised early on & Ko , but withh GGG I really doubt Canelo will manage this, obviously this is what they are thinking-Power-shots, doubt its fro clinches as neither usually go for that crap. Two great fighters, so hopefully this should be epic, I am hoping along the lines of Hagler v Mugabe...if they can get close to that - what a fight!

Who's paying the judges, referee, boxing commission, Bob Bennett? When does the champion come in after the challenger? When does the champion only make 30% to the challenger's 70%? The title of the fight Canelo vs. Golovkin, yes, his name comes in first Have you ever seen a robbery in Vegas before? If you haven't then this must be your first fight....................Did you read the Judd Berstein letter? Bribes, fight fixing, etc. I posted it here over they years several times, it has the facts. How about the FBI investigation into fight fixing in Vegas? Sen. McCain trying to get a federal boxing commission, even trying to bribe a federal judge! This crap is serious and should be stopped. Same old corrupt judges, Byrd, Moretti, etc. I would post the Judd letter again, but the bias do not want the facts...............they want to believe that boxing is honest, no corruption, they all go to church every Sunday, well, so does Jimmy Swaggert, Pat Robertson, Jim Baker, Franklin Graham, Osteen or however you spell it...................

It seems as if fans have come to accept the situation you describe as unavoidable and have decided to let the corrup judge fights as they wish while they evaluate things properly.

That's OK to a point but the corruption in boxing has ruined many good fighters careers & given cheating pretenders the glory

Fans are definitely aware of the devastating effect which it has on the fighters who win and are unjustly deprived as evidenced by the outrage expressed following every judge-approved bogus victory they witness. Unfortunately, they appear convinced that judge, ref, and promoter collusion constitutes an insurmountable obstacle best ignored in order to avoid an exercise in futility..

Canelo said that he intends to fight for the IBF belt, which limits the amount of weight that can be regained. They should therefore be on an even keel.

This is going to be a heck of a fight, definitely the fight of the year. I want Canelo to really go for it, like go for the KO even, if that means he could get KO'd himself in the process... can't wait. WAR.

Goes to show that body type doesn't mean a damn thing. Canelo looked like a lost puppy who couldn't keep GGG off him nor hurt him with his best shots. The fact that GGG got tested but not Canelo is already shady. GGG was already in trouble going into the fight with the judges in the pocket but was able to dodge a bullet on this one with the draw. Still got screwed over.
