That since De La Hoya decided on fighting Manny Pacquiao on december 6th as his exit opponent, knowing how the fans have reacted towards this idea, I think going into the fight Oscar De La Hoya will not be the fan favorite, I do not think the Mexican American fans will show their support for De La Hoya as they would have had he fought Antonio Margarito or a Paul Williams even its not going to surprise me to see Oscar get booed when he walks into the ring to fight Manny Pacquiao, I have a feeling this is going to be the worst night of his entire Career.
It won't be his exit opponent anyway, unless he gets beaten badly. The Fishnet deserves to get booed for this choice of opponent.
Depends on how the fight is goin',if Manny is getting a beating like a inmate in a kenyan prison sure the attendance are gonna root for him.The crowd always roots for the underdog
Oscar took the safest way out which is, obviously, the most lucrative too. Personally, I didn't expect more from De La Hoya. It will be remembered, that's for sure.
you think so, Oscar still has many fans though (which is annoying). Although if there were fans that think like myself he would get booed win or lose.
Oscar's fans will show up signing his praises, if you think Oscar De La Hoya gets booed at a US event held at his second home in Las Vegas you got another thing comin'.
NOBODY Said DLH wouldnt be the betting favorite, He would more than likely not be the fan favorite, I am almost certain that most of the Mexican American fight fans wanted to see him fight Margarito, he sure would have fought Cotto had Cotto won the fight, but look who he chose rather than the winner, Sorry but Mexican American fight fans IMO have been ***** slapped in the face by De La Hoya.
What is sad is that this could end all great fights Pacquiao could have brought at 135 and 140, then again this is also an extremely dangerous fight for Pacquiao of course so it's not going to be easy.
Because a Vegas casino will most likely outbid a stadium. The Staples Center doesn't make millions from degenerate gamblers like the MGM Grand does.
He doesn't give a damn, there were way more talks when the fight was only rumored and he knew about it.
