    Taylor should fight Lacy first.

I'd make that a 50/50 fight, somwhat dependent on what Lacy's actual condition is now.

If Taylor had ever lived up to his potential, you would have a good point. Calzaghe has one of the best winner's mind sets in boxing, Taylor is an underachiever. To beat Calzaghe is possible, but it would take either otherworldly ability, like a prime RJJ had, or an extremely determined effort over 12 rounds. Since Taylor doesn't have superior ability over Joe, he would have to come up with the performance of a lifetime and that seems unlikely with his mentality and stamina.

Taylor should move up to a real division. If he can't make MW anymore, try to make LHW.

otherworldly ability? Yall guys really rate Calzaghe high. Calzaghe defense is not that great, he is very much easy to hit. Bernard Hopkins doesnt have otherworldy ability and damn near almost beat him. So I mean what ability are you referring to? calzaghe basically outworks his opponents period point blank. SOme1 with good power and some skill can keep him off. JT has a shot IMO

    The old mans club?

I guess once most of the top ten in the division retires en masse he could fight a best of nine series against Not Bad Chad Dawson.

He'll probably prefer fighting serious opposition at SMW though. Kinda cute the value you put on labels though.

LHW still has more talent than the bone yard division of SMW.

Taylor needs to go to a real division to solidify his status in boxing. Messing around with lower tier fighters like, Pascal, Bute, Kessler, and Miranda is nothing. He should be facing fighters like Dawson, Johnson, and Tarvre, before it is too late.

Well I'd rather he fight a top ten SMW than someone like Miranda or Pascal, for sure.

Apart from that, the view is at best laughable, but then I just remembered that you think Tarver is number one at LHW despite him being beaten by Hopkins who was then beaten by Calzaghe, so that's not really a suprise.

Of course Taylor has a shot. Anytime you have a person with his raw talents and the ability to put combinations together in the blink of an eye like he can, you have a shot. Taylor fought the God like creature in Pavlik to a close loss in their rematch. He looked polished and actually limited his herky, jerky movement. THAT Taylor gives Calzaghe problems IMO. Heck, THAT Taylor beats Kessler and gives ANY SMW trouble.

    Yeah and we all know how reliable that A > B, B > C, so A > C logic is in boxing.

Far more reliable than your assertion LHW is greater than SMW.

What's that got to do anything?

    A > B so A > B will cover it.

Tarver lost comprehensively to Hopkins, until either of them produce a performance to indicate that that is not relaible form, then ranking Tarver ahead of Hopkins is nuts.

    Again you fail.

If JT went right now to LHW, look at the possible matchups
    1)Dawson
    2)G. Johnson
    3)Tarver

If he went to SMW right now
    1)Kessler (B - C level fighter)
2)Andre Dirrell (maybe, but I hear he might move up)

So there you have it. At SMW he has right now 2 legit people to fight. At LHW He has 3 GREAT fighters to chose from.
