I Think Kell Brook Has A Good Chance To Beat Canelo

    Smith had an excellent gameplan against Canelo, he just didn't have the power to pull it off.

    But Smith hurt Canelo at the end of the 7th round and Smith's strategy of letting Canelo punch himself out to start the rounds and then (Smith) come on strong later in the rounds could be employed by a better, and harder-hitting, fighter such as Brook.

    Forget about Canelo-GGG, that looks like even more of a mismatch after Canelo-Smith than many people probably thought.

    Can Kell Brook defeat Canelo?

    Obviously, he has to take the punches to win the fight. But after watching Canelo-Smith I actually think Brook has a real chance to get the victory over Canelo.

    Depends on where it's at.

    Canelo was eating shots tonight, a lot of them. He was hurt in the 7th round.

    Brook might finish him. Smith has no power but he still was stinging Canelo.

    Brook is a rugged guy and he can move and punch.

    Man, I'm actually getting excited for this fight.

    Could be 50/50.

    Canelo has a lot of holes that can be exploited, but he does have the power to make up for them.

    If the fight happens it will be wherever Canelo wants it, no chance he'd go to the UK like GGG did

    That's probably true.

    I'll tell you what, though, if you're Brook and you want to go to 154 and you watched this fight, you have to like your chances.

    Of course Brook will fancy the job. I can't see Canelo taking it though, he's draining himself to avoid Golovkin, the last thing he wants is an elite fighter who the weight class will suit him and not Canelo

    I would not be running to make that fight if I were Golden Boy.

    Brook can move, punch and take some punches.

    If he's really ready to fight at 154 that could be a tough match for Canelo.

    I've always seen Brook as the superior fighter since Brook handled N'dou and Hatton in their own weight class better than Canelo did dragging them up. Yes it was a while ago and Canelo was green, but Brook was barely dedicated to the sport either back then.

    The most realistic chance to beat Canelo is to KO him, as he is relatively hittable.
    Judges will always favor Canelo.

    The thing is while Brook is slick, he is not Lara (runner) and he doesn't avoid punches like Mayweather.
    Canelo is huge, has good chin and I expect him not to respect Kell's power...
    This fight has great chance to happen next May, as Charlos and Lara are with Haymon, and Andrade is higher risk low reward.

    Brook has the same boxing IQ as Forrest Gump, he would get wrecked by Canelo and Khan would school him

    I think if that happens, there's a good chance Canelo gets knocked down, at the very least.

    Brook can punch. If Smith can hurt Canelo, certainly Brook can.

    Definitely Canelo is larger on fight night, I'd imagine, but Brook is not a dwarf and he has skills.

    I have to watch more of his fights.

    Just not impressed with Canelo tonight.
