GGG fans hyping Brook like he's the second coming now, hilarious.

I need to watch more of his fights.

I've never been a huge Canelo fan, though. He has a lot of holes. Someone is going to exploit them (again) at some point. Maybe it won't be Brook, but the GGG fight would be a massacre at this point.

Everybody was saying smith had an actual chance tonight but stopped posting about the fight tonight when they saw how good canelo was doing. They started bringing other fighter like brook or ggg saying "he would do this or do that". What happened tonight isnt a what if, canelo outclassea the person ya said might ko or win in a UD tonight.

Brook will lose UD. Khan will get smoked out of his boots by Brook.

After now seeing how Smith fights and how Brook fights, I would give Brook a pretty good chance of giving Canelo a hell of a fight.

Brook has quicker hands and feet, he's got that slickness which would trouble Canelo and also a solid chin. His boxing IQ is good as well. If I were rate hand speed to hand speed, Canelo vs Brook, Brook is quicker. He would be countering and timing Canelo's shot faster and landing some 1-4s on Canelo's face.

Both Canelo and Golovkin have a lot in Common...they are both easy to Hit....knocking them out now that's another thing.!!!!

Brook is quicker and moves better than Canelo, yeah.

Smith has zero power. If he did, Canelo could have really been in trouble late in the 7th round.

I like Brook's chances in this match up. But he would have to avoid the "big shot" in order to get the win.

It could be a fun fight.

I need to watch more of Brook's fights. I know Canelo's game pretty well but Brook's less so.

Let's also not forget, Canelo respected Mayweather's punches enough to not swing for the fences. Mainly due to the sharpness and accuracy of them. Brook is also a sharp, quick, accurate puncher with more power than Mayweather. If Canelo didn't respect Brook's power going into the fight, I have a feeling he would 2 rounds in.

Canelo shouldn't fight GGG anytime soon. Ggg would manhandle Canelo against the ropes.

liam smith did well, he hung in there and fought back bravely. i can't take anything away from canelo he beat the champion at his weight fair and square by vicious body shots which by the way would be one of the keys to sapping ggg's power.

This was not an inspiring performance by Canelo. He really did not look good.

Can't believe how tired he was getting so early in the fight.

    He's lucky Smith can't punch.

GGG is on an entirely different level than Canelo will ever achieve.

Kell didn't even knock Porter down.
He will trouble Canelo in early rounds, I have no doubt about it.
Canelo wobbled against Jose Cotto, but he have been hit by bigger puncher like Cotto and Kirkland and he is OK.

He did. He fought a smart, good fight. He just didn't have enough power to carry it out, and the strong body shots late got him.

But he gave a good accounting of himself given his skill set.

Fair point on Cotto. But Cotto isn't as active as he used to be in terms of punch volume.

Kirkland is not a serious fighter at the top level. He's a serious puncher, but not a serious fighter. Too many holes.

Brook is better than Old Cotto or Kirkland, just as an all-around talent. Also Brook (5' 9") is likely naturally larger than 5' 7" Cotto, who seemed too small against Canelo.

I'd put everyone I own on brook beating Canelo! Canelo is so average! Brook is too slick for Canelo!

But obviously Canelo won't take this fight cause he's a p****!
