I know Abe hits like a beast:bbb but he has one of the lowest outputs at middleweight:dead..... On the other hand....

I can see Kelly throwing bombs and getting Paul againest the ropes and doing damage.:!: So style wise i think Kelly would beat Paul but Paul has a good chance againest Abe assuming he doesnt get caught with a big shot.

What do you guys think about these two potential match ups? :smoke

Pav couldn't stand up and connect with a slick fighter. (Bhop) Williams' movement and punch output would cause pavlik fits.

AA has low punch output, but as you said they are bombs. I would be cautious to put pw in the ring with him.

Styles make fights. Put AA in with a guy who throws punches in bunches, and he covers up and hides in a corner. Put KP in with a guy who is aggressive, and he goes to war. I tend to think that Paul could cruise to a wide UD over Arthur. Pavlik/williams is a Hearns/Haglar type fight, and Paul gets knocked out in about 5 rounds.

Williams plays right into Pavlik's hands. He comes forward, Pavlik comes forward, they trade, and it becomes a clash of strength. Pavlik's bigger, stronger and tougher, and he wears Williams down and stops him late.

Williams would skate past AA on a wide UD. AA is too lazy and doesn't throw enough.

Americans underestimaiting a European fighter, and over-hyping their own?

Due to styles I would favor both to beat Williams.
Pavlik would be one of the few who could or try to really back him up and Williams very rarely uses his feet(he didn't last night) and if Pavlik can establish a jab Williams is in trouble. Not to mention he would eat hooks like crazy.
Abraham would definetely need to KO him which I think he could if he is in top shape.
He would just have to be very accurate with his combos from his turtle shell, his wild hooks are Williams's kryptonite.

i agree with that because styles make fights....i still say PW beats both of them, but Pavlik has a better style for him...

Williams doesn't have the power to deter either guy. Pavlik CAN and HAS matched the punch output we saw from Paul. Kelly hits MUCH harder and is sturdy. I just ain't convinced Williams could make Abraham pay for getting in range, ala Marquez. Paul ahead on points when the end comes.

Its a style thing niga, u telling me abe doesnt go into a defensive shell and throw a low amount of punches per round?:huh
It has nothing to do with being euro.:deal Its just it seems like P.W. would have a good chance of outworking him due to styles.

That is very true, but - like I mentioned in other threads before - P.W. and in general every AA opponent has to be cautious for 12 long rounds...if AA comes through with one of his big shots, everyone will be in big trouble.

Oh believe me i know... thats why i wrote in the O.P. that this is assuming he doesnt get hit with a big shot. (like the one Miranda got caught with)

    But he would.

Williams is right there to be hit. Winky had no trouble hitting him, he just didn't have all that much to hit him with.

Williams does not have sufficient power to keep AA of him.

AA might start out in defensive mode with a low output, hoping to catch PW coming in, a la Miranda.

And he could well catch him and end it early.

But if he didn't, at ANY POINT in the fight, he is capable of walking down the punisher and taking him out.

To the body or the head.

    AA by KO.

And I don't think Williams can deal with the cumulative power of Pavlik either.

He needs to avoid both theses guys for the time being.
