he beat 2-3 big name fighters convincingly...

Name fighters that he should beat to make him a viable opponent for Floyd.

He's looked terrible as of late. If he can beat the Matthysse/Peterson/Garcia winner, and then someone like Alexander or Broner, than he would be a viable option.

I agree, the only hope I have for him is maybe Virgil can finally develop him and let his potential come out. As of now he's crap and there's no reason to think he'd actually do anything to deserve the fight

Stylez G. pretty much nailed it. Khan needs to beat the best at 140 and a solid welter.

Khan is a former world champion....and is clearly world class, why does he have to do anything more to get a shot? Looking back on some of Floyds opponents Khans name on there wouldn't be in anyway out of place..in fact would be right up with the best of them as far as names go!

The problem is Khan would not be able to earn a Mayweather fight because he would lose. There is not really any safe fights for Khan because his chin is so dreadful. In fact, GBP should just make the mayweather fight immediately or not have him fight ever again until he gets that fight. This is a business and there is money to be made

Khan has not progressed at all. Any decent puncher can knock him out anytime soon..

that's the sad thing about it. Khan needs to beat 1 or 2 top guys, but idk if he can beat any of them.

Floyd has 5 more fights and the only real threat or significant fight for Floyd is Canelo. So whichever fighters get the 4 remaining slots is irrelevant because they all fall under class B. Since Floyd isn't fighting Canelo in September, Khan is a pretty decent opponent for Floyd especially if it happens in the UK. It's really not that bad considering it's something to watch. Any fight involving two guys with a significant name is good for real boxing fans. Better than nothing.

he may get ktfo if he goes hunting for a big name. khan should just play it safe, take on 1-2 more softies then he'll have his payday against floyd.
