Khan worked with Roger, but decided to train with Roach & I think it was a mistake. I think Roach is a great trainer. I think he's better than the Mayweather's, because he can work with different type of styles. He can work with slow guys, brawlers, etc. The Mayweather's excel with one type of fighter, which is a guy with fast hands that can move, & i believe Khan would have worked wonderful in their system. They would not let him get hit clean like that. If he keeps up the same Paul William approach to defense he will get knocked out again

Amir will become a way better boxer by changing his mentality. He already has a polarizing personality and a sexy face, he doesn't need to block punches with his face like emmanuel to sell tickets. Amir wasn't floored after taking some shots from one of the hardest hitters, so I hope he doesn't ever try to "prove his chin" again.

Khan's defense relies a lot on footwork and clinching. He should study some tapes of Bernard Hopkins for this. roach for whatever reason doesn't teach the clinch and inside fighting game very well. Amir will be involved in a lot of clinching if he wants a long career, so he should learn how to fight there.

Study some Wladamir Klitschsko and use the jab just like that. Watch Floyd Jr to learn how to fight off the backfoot and in the pocket.

Don't copy emmanuel's bad habits and technical flaws. Standing there along the ropes to eat uppercut sandwiches isn't cool when you have the worst chin in the sport. Avoid the glove tapping too.

Forget about being exciting, work on becoming slick and boxing tall.

You guys do know that this is the only fight Khan has had recently that he strayed from the gameplan and tried to prove he can take a punch, right?

Roach is doing a good job with the guy. Khan just HAD to show off to his critics, and in some ways, he did show it.

You do know as Khan starts fighting high level competition he will continue to get hit clean like that.

outside floyd, who have been employing the slick style and shoulder roll effectively under the mayweathers? especially those who had to change styles midway through their career?

I think Khan should stop trying to emulate Manny or Mayweathers style and do what is natural to him.

Not if he follows the gameplan from Roach and stopped fighting for the crowd. Roach had said that if Amir fights for himself, he will have cruised this match easily. But no, he had to be a macho man. Still, this answers questions about his durability in 140.

And even if he does get hit, he won against the hardest puncher in the division and took the man's best shots. There's really no one else in 140 that should scare him anymore as he can win these fights with speed.

Even Bradley acknowledges that Maidana hits hard enough to blow holes in bags.

You don't ALWAYS have to use that. Khan successfully used the shoulder roll last night a few times when his back was against the ropes.

Floyd is a very good fighter inside of the clinches and on the inside. roach isn't good at teaching guys how to fight there for whatever reason. Amir could learn how to use the shoulder roll guard to create space on the inside to fight there. He didn't do much in the clinches and inside yesterday.

Roger Mayweather has other things on his plate.
    Roach is perfect for Khan.
