I think Margarito is getting way too hyped

Still I told you why, the Gatti fight was worth far more and the WBC title(the title he always target as I repeat for the third time now) was up for grabs. A fight with Harris could've been considered after it just like a fight with Cotto was and a fight with Hatton but Harris failed, not Floyd.

Better question is where was he even before that?, why did all of those get their share and he didn't?, wait and see how they'll tell you the entire Welterweight division ducked him now.

Vivian Harris showed how much he deserved that fight by getting knocked out by a journeyman ... and he declined a 6 figure deal to fight Hatton to take on Maussa for 75k ...

    Harris didn't have a big name and wasn't a marketable foe ...

Floyd wouldve killed any form of the gate keeper Harris ...

Who the **** is going to fight for a title you can't get no clout, prestige, or money winning and defending (that weak as WBO welterweight crown)

or take on the universally recognized undisputed champion?

No matter if its an easy fight in your eyes ... this man is the champion of the division w/ no dispute ... if it weren't for the ridiculous sanctioning fees and his small purse Baldomir wouldve had all the belts ...

Margarito hasn't fought anyone and its not because they're scare of him ... its because you can't get anything out of it.

Floyd beats him ... "ohh well he had 4-5 losses already" ... "he never foguht anyone before Floyd" ... "Floyd's fighting bums again" ... "why did Floyd agree to fight this bum" ..."is Floyd going to fight some competition?"

same thing that people were saying when Floyd was champion would be the same thing that people would say if he had fought and beat Margarito.

Say whatever you want but he lost to a journeyman/stepping stone ... and he paid for it ... he couldve fought Hatton or Gatti ... but he choose to be a baby about it and get knocked out by an awkward, shitty styled Carlos Maussa ...

I watched that fight over my cousin's house and after he got knocked out everyone there laughed at him.

Put it like this ... come sunday morning ... 1am ... Cotto will prove that Margarito was nothing more than media hype.

I would have taken the fight for a championship shot right away. And then I would have motioned to get a unification fight.

Of course Mayweather knew it'd take longer. And he didn't want to end up fighting any real hungry 140lb challengers. So he put himself in line instead of doing what any other red blooded contender at 140 would have done.

Harris got knocked out by a journeyman ... since beat Harris, Carlos Maussa is 0-3

Fitz I'm glad you are starting to show your true colors. After talking so much **** about how this fight will do in sales. I already knew what angle you were coming from.

Now be honest. How much does it twist in your gut to see Margarito and Cotto frontpage on ESPN?

This is my understanding on it went down. Mausser-Harris was put on the undercard of Floyd-Gatti so that a 140 unification would take place right after. Now everybody was banking on a Harris win but as we all know that didn't happen.

I don't see how anybody could put Floyd at fault for not going after Harris first. When Floyd vs Harris was brought up, HBO and Main Events kept looking the other way. And Gatti was Floyd's first big money fight. Who could blame him for not passing up on the chance?

I think Floyd's biggest problem has been outpricing himself out of fights. I do see the argument for him not wanting a piece of Margarito/Winky but to say he blatantly ducked Harris (or Casmayor or Freitas as Aztek says) then no offense but that's absolutely rediculous.

If Margarito wins the fight, then all of you detractors are humbled.

Am I alone on this, or does an undefeated fighter become something kinda boring after a while? Reflect on Hagler for a moment: wasn't it kinda cool in a sense to see him finally lose to Bobby Watts after goin' what, 26-0? He drew with somebody before then too, Seals-right? Somebody help me out on that one. Anyway, went on to lose again two fights later with Monroe and lost his last fight to SRL. His record is littered with early-round KO/TKO's and he's considered one of the greatest of greats (62-3-2 and 52 KO's). The struggle with a loss/draw or both kinda keeps a fighter interesting to me. I don't know. Takes all kinds, I guess. My base point, if Cotto loses on Sat. who gives a ****? He's still great. Not much in the personality dept. to make for good beefs but already a legend in the square circle where it counts most. Way back in the day, from what I've gathered, guys didn't put near as much emphasis on record or fear a loss as they do today. It was a very different sport then too, I suppose?

Exposed nearly 10 times in just 1 thread, let alone the many other threads.

Vivian Harris had 1 loss and 1 draw when he called out Mayweather, he wasn't undefeated. :deal Keep failing, you said "Bring it on" yet I'm the one who's bringing everything here with you resorting to insults as usual and now packed your bags and took off without posting anything worth reading or at least anything new. You were even desperate enough to admit you needed "Facts" from me because you were lacking and lacking miserably and obviously. :smoke
