I think Mayweather would have beaten Loma at 130

What gym/part of the country did you train out of?

I probably would argue the 130 part but I will have to go back and check what Floyd did at that weight, I can only recall a few fights of his at SFW off the top of my head.

Walters, Rigo and Russell are high quality wins, all undefeated, highly feared fighters. I don't think any boxer in the game currently has this good trio of wins.

You're joking right? Who have Walters and Russell jr beat and I like Russell jr.
Rigo was 37 and moving up 2 weights.

GRJ, Walters and Rigo are all elite level talents, that's the truth and Loma made them all look like trash. Every one of them were hyped to high levels before they got in the ring with Loma and in fact Loma was even accused of ducking them, they were all meant to be great match ups that was supposed to test Loma.

This is exactly the Mayweather situation you were describing in your previous post, for any other guy these would be great wins, but because Loma made them look so average, let's deride the W's in any way we can, I don't really care about these excuses, any win can be undermined like this.

So who has better trio of wins? Crawford with Indongo, Gamboa and Postol? Lol.

No Crawford doesn't his resume isn't that good.

I feel that Russell jr is his best win but he's not elite. If rigo was younger and the fight happened at 126 then that would have been a great win. If loma fights and beats Garcia that's the type of win that would be be elite. I have Loma p4p #1 so i think highly of him and think hes the best fighter on the sport today. As far as a trio of wins I think canelo has a better trio with Lara cotto and trout.

Did you cross paths with Julian Letterlough while in Reading? Providence had a pretty loaded scene at one time.

Canelo, true, but at the end of the day two of those were highly controversial. But I'll concede, you can say that on paper, Canelo has better three names.

Still you were acting like what I said was ridiculous but provided only one example to counter this point that is still kinda iffy.

For me Mikey wouldn't simply be an elite win, it goes beyond that, that's a great win, sort of like Kovalev-Ward.

Nah, I don't think Letterlough was still alive when I was there. I forget what year he died but if he was still alive I never saw him there. Heard plenty of people talk about him. He wasn't from Reading, PA. though, probably from somewhere near there.

Ya, Providence and Pawtucket have had a loaded scene for years now. Matt Godfrey and Jason Estrada used to be around the gyms a lot. Excellent scene, especially for the size. A few years ago there was a kid from Mansfield, MA. that used to train and fight out of Providence and Pawtucket, multiple time GG champ, who dropped boxing altogether and went to college instead. Nicest kid you could ever meet. He fought at welter or light welter in the AM's but was about 5'10-5'11, awesome jab, could really fight his balls off. But he did what he wanted to do, I'm proud of him.

A good friend of mine from the Marine Corps., his uncle is Jimmy Farrell who has owned a gym in Dorchester and Quincy for a long time, used to be a fighter himself. My buddy actually fought for the Marine Corps. boxing team at light welter, which was the same class US Olympian Jamel Herring fought in. Each branch's official boxing team has two fighters for each weight class, so making a team is a very good accomplishment, especially when your teammate is a future olympian. His best friend from childhood is Mark "Bazooka" DeLuca, the undefeated Jr. Middleweight who was in the Marine Corps. Reserves and did a pump to Afghanistan. Great dude.

Look at this....you literally can take every fighter passed or present and place their opposition in ANY one of these categories based on YOUR agenda.....what's wrong with you people?

Duran could possibly beat Lomachenko, JCC would get outpointed, Whitaker-Loma would be close but I’d lean towards Loma.
Duran, JCC, Whitaker would all beat Floyd. Floyd wouldn’t win a round against Loma. Rigo at 130 is 50/50 with Floyd.
JMM that fought Floyd was a fat, blown up version. Not the muscled up version that knocked out Pac. Floyd didn’t make weight against JMM, had the stylistic adavantage and still couldn’t put any hurt on him. Loma made Rigo quit. Loma would make ***** ass Floyd quit as well.

All were picked by many to beat Loma. Loma was ducking Walters and Rigo according to some until they fought. Both those wins are better than anything on Floyd’s record, with the possible exception of Canelo. After that it’s Corrales, Hatton... What a rubbish resume for an apparent ATG. DLH would’ve been a great victory if DLH was anywhere near his prime and didn’t nearly beat Floyd.
