    it sounds like morales will return and from what i heard in his last fight he may still be able to get a fourth world title.

    do think its because of barrera?

    Morales started looking shot after his fight with Raheem, I don't know why he doesn't want to avenge that loss.

    No, it is his quest to be the only mexican with 4 world titles in 4 different weight divisions (MAB?), and solidify his position as the greatest fighter in Mexican history. It could be tho, but I think its a bad idea, he should stay retired.

    Matter of fact yea Barrera has something to do with it. It's like a one-upman thing, maybe if he can get that 4th title (I thought MAB had 4 as well?) he will be remembered as greater than MAB.

    Barrera wants to fight again, Morales also wants to fight again.

    MAB-Morales IV seems to be looming in the future.

    I wont be surprised that which ever sanction strips Juan Diaz of his belt will make a title fight between Mab and EM

    erik needs to rest up and come back stronger in 2009. all the weight draining has taken a toll on his skills but if lets his body rest then he can come back strong for that last final push for a 4th title.

    david diaz was fresher then erik and that's why he won. if erik keeps his body and shape and doesn't drink and party too much he can win that 4th title.

    barrerra and erik would get killed by guzman, pac or soto so they have limited options. erik is big enough to fight at 135 but he has to conidition himself for thee weight.

    It wasn't prime Erik, but he didn't look shot against David Diaz. I thought he won that fight 6-6 with the extra point for the early KD, or 7-5 outright. And this was only his second fight at 135, compared to his first when he didn't adjust well to the weight and was schooled by Raheem.

    If anyone has noticed, aside from Valero and Barrios, most of the top guns at 130 over the last 3 years are guys who made their mark from 122-126.

    Pac = 122-126 prime weight
    Erik = same
    MAB = same
    Guzman = same
    JMM = 126

    This 130 lbs. class today is not the same as 8-10 years ago, when PBF, Genaro Hernandez, Freitas, and Corrales were natural junior lightweights in their primes (well, all except for Genaro but the 98 version would still hold a belt today with this crop).

    That will be a possiblity, but if you ask me, I'll say stay retire man, but if the fight happens I'll see it.

    Did you forget MAB holds two wins over EM? I agree though, EM is the better fighter and has the better resume IMO.

    Maybe because he will not have the legs to chace Raheem around the ring.

    I do hope both Barrera and Morales stay retired. Morales specially, he has close to nothing left.

    MAB and Eric need to keep their legacies intact and stay retired. Maybe comeback for one more fight against each other.

    Hamed and two wins out of three fights over Morales means Barrera is ahead.
