How do you think the reaction will be if/when Golovkin agrees to step aside for the 4/5th time in 2 yrs.

People will still blame Canelo, when in truth the blame should be shared. If Canelo is mandatory and will be enforced at 160, Golovkin needs to enforce it.

Sure we all hate catchweights but why is GGG so reluctant to fight Canelo at 155?

At least counter offer 157-158 so we know he's not ducking.

    That's exactly what I'm asking:deal

It's a safe bet that most of us feel GGG beats Canelo so why is THe G man afraid to face him at the catchweight.:huh

And please don't reply some type of BS about how this is all about principles:lol:

it's a middleweight title fight, he shouldn't have to kill himself to make lose 5 extra pounds

    You know why.
The only reason Canelo is doing it, is hoping GGG would be drained like a corpse so he has even more weightadvantage over him and might actually make it to the final bell where the judges will do his job for him. Because GGG's corpse would still beat him, but can (and probably will) be robbed if Canelo goes 12.
That's what's up and everyone knows it.

If it was actually about being the smaller guy, it would be 160 with a rehydration clause, but in reality that would benefit Golovkin who weights less at fightnight (in the ring) as Canelo does.

Plus we also get the other big issue of one guy cheapening the worth of the belt by trying to force his mandatory to fight almost a weightclass lower without any other reason as weakening him, so he doesn't have to face his mandatory at full strength.
The thing is that if Canelo refuses the full limit and Golovkin stands firm, the rules say that GGG will be elevated to full champion status while Canelo will be stripped thus changing the situation 180 degrees.
Only thing that kept that from happening yet, is that Canelo is Mexican and a cash cow.

You're just trying to turn things around, but the actual situation is that Alvarez simply refuses to defend his 160 belt at 160.

He doesn't have to offer ****, it's mandatory fight.
    How many times?

Now after Canelo is stripped they can agree on 157 and w/e else.

It won't be 1. Golovkin usually feels his opponent out in round 1.

Sunders is a bigger test for GGG than Canelo but Canelo is the draw. Anyway Genna should fight Canelo @ at least 158 lbs c/w in a non-title fight.
