I think Pac beats Mayweather now...

    I've always said that Mayweather was the better of the two. But after looking at May - Cotto I think if the fight May vs Pac can be made Pac decisions him at least. At best gets lucky and knocks him out.
    Why:
    1. Manny is Southpaw
    May would have to watch out for that powerful left hand. May was leaning to the left to neutralize Cotto's left hand. Leaning wont help against the southpaw stand as the lefthand would generate more power as it comes from further than a orthodox stance.

    2. Manny's speed
    Overall they both have super fast hands. Mayweather is very accurate and calculate, but on the other side Manny's left is very straight. Don't forget that he also isn't a one handed fighter anymore. His haft short right is very effective too. He always hits people so fast and hard that all his opponents never see the punches that really hurt them. If Cotto can hit May, so can Manny and better.


    Personally I think Mayweather is the greater fighter, but he is already out of his peak. A peak Mayweather beats a peak Pacquiao.

    If Cotto can land that often to the head and body... imagine what Pac would do.

    Pac = too fast, too explosive, and throws from crazy angles. plus he throws 4-5 at a time, this is something most dont do with Floyd... Cotto did and it worked.

    dont forget Pac destroyed Cotto.

    Look how much trouble Pac had with Marquez, whilst Floyd won close to every round. Styles make fights. We won't know who will win until they fight if they ever do.

    I would need to see what Manny has against Bradley , because he looked awful against JMM.

    At this stage still have to favour Floyd.

    Pac can't even beat them cramps, sore feet and hunger pains that he keeps having in the ring. How he going to beat Floyd? A terminator that catches cramps. WTF

    Agree Pac offense is better than Cotto. But Cotto high guard was really a huge factor as well. I think Floyd shots land much cleaner on Pac neautrulizing that offense a bit better than against Cotto.

    Cotto does not open up as much as Manny, nor does he make as many mistakes. Pac's footwork and that "run in" thing he does would place him on the floor by the 7th..maybe 8th round...Pac also throws an amatuer hook and Floyd could counter that with a 1-2 jab right hand.

    Pacquiao does not have the inside fight game nor the strength and size to push Floyd around on the inside at times either.

    It is difficult to say because although Manny has faster hands and a lot more power than Cotto, he is much smaller and not nearly as physical or as strong. Floyd have an easier time pushing him off and keeping him at a distance. The entire fight depends on how Floyd takes Mannys punches....if he starts taking too much damage early...even just 4 or 5 power punches a round, Pac could seriously **** him up later on in the fight.
