I think Parker is going to expose/dismantle everything Wilder is, a pure business protected hypejob.

I found this article which was interesting:

    https://www.secondsout.com/features...te-of-the-heavyweights-top-ten-year-in-review

"All in all, in 2014 we saw six match-ups (Klitschko vs Pulev, Povetkin vs Takam, Stiverne vs Arreola II, Fury vs Chisora II, Perez vs Takam, Jennings vs Perez) between current Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB) or The Ring top 10-rated fighters. The best heavyweights are fighting the best and the division is heading in the right direction."

"It seems that Povetkin is genuinely aiming to get back in the mix for a rematch with the Champ. The latest considerations seem to involve him facing TBRB #10, The Ring #8 contender Mike Perez for a chance to fight Stiverne vs Wilder winner"

"In January Takam was slated as the opponent for then-TBRB #10 contender Mike Perez, who was coming off the ill-fated victory against Russian slugger Magomed Abdusalamov."

Chisora and Cunningham were also rated in TBRB's heavyweight top 10 according to this article.

"Still not the person to hang your resume on"

Jennings isn't a great best win but neither are the best wins of Povetkin, Vitali or Haye. And at least Jennings was willing to get in with Ortiz because the likes of Takam, Chisora, Joyce and many others were not.

"he got dropped three times - there is no getting around that."

Wlad got dropped 3x by Peter but still won a clear UD. Even the judges had Ortiz winning more rounds than Ruiz if you combine their scorecards (19 for Ortiz, 17 for Ruiz) and Ruiz was seen as the more commercially valuable fighter (first Mexican champ, former champ, Joshua-conqueror, potential future Wilder opponent, 10+ years younger than Ortiz). I wouldn't say that Ruiz winning was a robbery by any means but one can easily see why he wasn't wanting to fight Ortiz 3-5 years and 1-2 KO defeats prior.

"Prime Charles Martin, come on man. haha That fight was an open goal to devalue Joshua's resume"

The only way it was going to devalue Joshua's resume in any way was if Martin got KO'd in 1-2 rounds. He'd already lost to Kownacki and was regarded as a joke, well outside Joshua's top 5 wins. As many were saying before the fight, it was Wilder's resume which was on the line. Ortiz was officially 42, coming off his 2nd KO defeat and virtually 25 months of inactivity. Martin had about double the boxing experience he had when he fought Joshua (Martin was a late starter) and his previous fight was a career best win and performance over Washington, who'd beat Helenius the fight prior. Martin was something like a 7/2 underdog, so he was giving a good outside chance of winning and it was seen as very likely that he'd at least extend Ortiz several rounds.

Chisora started boxing at 19 and fought Helenius at 27, he fought Parker at 37. He looked good against Parker 1 and was coming off one of his career best performances (Usyk). I don't think prime comes into it either way.

I don't think Kownacki, Peter, Brewster and Liakhovich were necessarily better than Takam and they may have all been worse at that stage. Brewster had just lost to Oloukun for instance, who was stopped in 6 by Takam 20 months later, despite going the 8 round distance with Helenius between the Brewster and Takam fights.

Nonetheless, the guy who wrote the OP isn't remotely serious. It's a bait post, intentionally designed to make anti-Wilder arguments look stupid.

Yes he will be exposing , dismantling , descointrusting and peeling the skin off Wilder all the way up to the point the equaliser hits him and that will be that

I certainly rate Usyks chin for sure, but my point is Wilder is smaller than all these guys including Usyk.

Wilder is smaller than most Cruisers who are 6'3 range walking around at 225.

Wilder is 4 inches taller than Usyk, if Usyk is a legit 6'3. Much thinner than Usyk. Wilder has a small frame.

Usyk has a cruiserweight frame (modern day standards) not HW frame.

Hence Wilder is more impressive. 210-215 at 6'7 is really lanky, to take big shots from proper heavyweight sized guys.

I'll never understand the 'man crush' this board has with Carlos Takam.

You're not sure if three heavyweight champions and Kownacki were better than Takam? :hang

Why? Because his pecs were bigger? (It certainly isn't due to his amazing boxing prowess.)

Brewster knocked out Wlad Klitschko for the WBO title and made three defenses. Liakhovich beat Brewster in one of the best heavyweight title fights this century.

Takam has never done anything. In fact, if you lose to him, your career is OVER.

    He's a gatekeeper.

Whatever man. I don't have the energy today.

    For the record

Joe Parker has the best chin of anyone Wilder has fought

    Better than Fury

It took Joyce a lot of beating down to get him out of there

If Wilder can 1 shot Parker it will be impressive and be further testement to his power

I think he'll hurt/drop Parker but Parker will get up

It took a lot of beating down by Joyce to get Dubois out of there, too. (Who doesn't have an iron chin.) And didn't so much stop Dubois as Daniel quit due to his eye damage.

It took a lot of beating for Joyce to get Stiverne out of there, too (two years after Stiverne supposedly had nothing against Wilder).

I took a lot of beating down by Joyce to get Bryant Jennings out of there (four years after Ortiz totally demolished him). Oh wait, he didn't stop Jennings at all.

We'll see how great Parker's chin is against Wilder. That'll be the true test.

We'll see if he can stand up to 38-year-old, chicken legs, fraud, joke, windmiller, bootleg dorticos (did I leave anything out) Wilder.

What will Wilder be when the 31-year-old Parker knocks out the old man easily? Like Parker's ninth or tenth best win? (I mean, how good can a win over a 'Bootleg Dorticos' be? The real Dorticos wasn't even that good.)

Certainly, nobody has crapped all over Joe's previous opponents like they have his next opponent.

Should be an easy night's work for Tyson Fury's favorite DJ and sparring partner.

If Parker comes to fight he'll give Wilder fits...but knowing Parker he will shrink and get battered.

If Wilder fought AJ, Joyce, Ruiz and maybe even Whyte we would actually get the answer to that question. Instead he spent most of his career fighting low opposition, especially for a champion.

The fact it's taken him over 40 fights to fight Parker, someone who a lot of Wilder fans are trying to disparage as not being good, is pretty bad. On top of that it's arguably his 2nd or 3rd best opponent.

Joyce folded Dubios in 6 with a jab. Whereas it took Joyce 11 rounds to eventually grind Parker down. Not really similar scenarios. If Joyce was landing those same shots on Wilder he'd have no chance at all.

I seem to recall prior to Wilder v Fury 1 and 2 you kept going on about Fury being pillow fisted, yet that same pillow fisted fighter knocked out Wilder twice. Fact is Wilder's chins never really been tested, Parker's has. It's going to be a long night for both.

I think one can make a reasonable argument that Parker h2h is not even a top 10 heavyweight.

In an actual fight the likes of Usyk, Hrgovic, Zhang, Makhmudov, Bakole, Jalolov, Joshua, Wilder, Ajagba,Sanchez, and Wardley could probably beat him. In addition you have guys like Dychko and Lenier Pero who seem like promising candidates. And despite his relative youth Parker clearly seems on the downside.

Parker should not only give Wilder fits, he should demolish him with ease.

Have you seen Wilder's chicken legs? Parker will have, what, 30 pounds, maybe 40 pounds on him? Parker is 31. Wilder is 38.

Wilder is garbage. A fraud. He hasn't really proven he can punch at all. Everyone he's fought is garbage. He's the most protected heavyweight who ever lived. It's a joke to mention him in the same breath as anyone who was any good ever.

And Parker beat TAKAM. Have you seen the build on that guy? Takam is better than most of the heavyweight champions in our lifetimes.

    (Am I leaving anything out?)

Just trying to fit in with most of the board these days. ;) (How am I doing?):bananaride

    You're actually right.

Wilder is a total bum but he's a bum with a bazooka and a bum with a bazooka is extremely dangerous as he'll prove.

The only way to make easy work of Wilder is to break his hand with your cranium like Stiverne did in their 1st bout.

Wilder can't beat any of those guys, either. Haven't you been reading "all the polls" on the board in recent years?

    Everyone beats Wilder.

If all else fails, do a poll. People around here will set you straight.

Wilder = Fraud (loses to everyone)

    Parker should have no problems.
