...that all this "he looks rattled, he's off his game ****" will go out the window once the two fighters start boxing. Yes, Mayweather looks more subdued than normal, it doesn't mean all of a sudden he's gonna fall apart or become a **** boxer because of it. I'm a Hatton fan, but I'd be deluded if I thought "Right.. Ricky looked the tougher guy at weigh in, he'll win for sure now''... people gotta start using their heads. It's the same in any sport, class 9/10 prevails. Now, I hope Hatton wins, but he's got his work cut out. Mental strategies play a part, I agree, but not enough to make an A+ boxer become a D class boxer because he's more nervous than usual. Anyway... not long to go, can't wait! SnR
yes.... its like people dont learn. i wish i could show people the talk on here before judah/baldomir... baldo wouldnt even LOOK at judah..... people talking about how scared carlos was and blah blah... none of it means SQUAT!
Exactly. Its ridiculous to suggest Mayweather has an advantage because Hatton seems pissed off, or vice-verca.
The worst pre-fight stuff i've seen lately was Carl Johansson against Michael Gomez, Gomez was all over Johansson, headbutting him and wanting to fight, he had to be kept away from Johansson so many times and Johansson looked very scared, but what happened in the fight?..Johansson ko'd Gomez and was the stronger man in the end, Mayweather has pushed Hatton around twice now and Hatton hasn't done anything, if people think Floyd is scared of little Hatton they're gonna be in for one hell of a shock tonight, the sport is called BOXING.. not LEANING, i think Floyds gonna be as determind as ever and when Floyd is on his game i.e agaist Gatti and Chico there's absolutely nothing that Ricky will be able to do to stop him.
man i watched the wieghin from ricky comin in till he said ill fkn have ya(or whatever) and where the fks the fear on floyd, on either of em...? where?.. good post mate...finally some1 backing 1 of these guys and bringing a bit of sense 2 all this...
Exactly I was saying the same thing to the missus. Neither guy is scared, they are boxers ffs, their lives are centred around being punched. No doubt however there are nerves, but that's a good thing. The time to judge is in the ring. Who has it, and who can do it. I cant wait.
good on ya mate...i think its **** all this crud that gets thrown round bout each guy...they both look ready 2 go 2 me...17hrs 2 go till the card starts wooohooo
yes i agree. while i enjoy the pre-fight mental tug of war that sometimes happens, i know that in reality when you have A+ fighters doing their thing, especially for many years, it really doesn't make a huge difference on fight night. sometimes the scared fighter actually puts up a better perfomance than the confident one. other times they freeze. everyone is different. both fighters are human beings. they will BOTH feel confidence, nervous, adrenaline rushes, anger, relief and so on. some show it more than others, and some show it in different ways. tyson used to vomit before some fights. yet, look how he carved them up!
