I think Rigo's going to be pretty screwed from now on.

He needs to end his contract with Arum as soon as possible. I don't know how many fights he has left on it, but he needs to try and get those fights out of the way and then sign with a promoter who doesn't treat him like **** and actually looks out for him.

Stop for a second and answer me these questions. Why are you talking about Rigondeaux when he threw more, landed more than Donaire, and damaged Donaire? Shouldn't you be talking about how boring Donaire is?
Or you find Donaire more exciting because he shows less skill and blocks punches with his face while hesitantly walking forward?
YDKSAB, the fact that you're a part of that idiotic chin checkers group shows that you never did before this fight either. :hi:

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I am not and have never took up for Donaire. It was a boring fight. Period. The punch output was an absolute disgrace. For both fighters but at least Donaire was attempting to engage. Rigo was too busy pawing and tapping gloves, circling, and throwing one punch at a time. It was a bad fight all around and the fans in the arena and all these Boxing media types that according to you are 'casual' fans and DKSAB. :rofl:patsch

Exactly, people want to see a fight, not a boxing match. Anybody who didn't enjoy that contest isn't a boxing fan or they just didn't understand it. In other words, they DKSAB :hat

Ah, the classic 'at least the guy who was plodding forward aimlessly and made to look clueless was trying to engage (even though he threw less and was outlanded)' line.

Textbook way to spot someone who dksab.

Bottom line is rico would've watched that fight hoping his bizarre chin checker prediction would come off. You can imagine his frustration as he watched the 'glassjawed' Rigo made him miss and landed the better shots.

No wonder he's so bitter about it.

  7. Bob Arum is really mad Donaire got beat the way he did. He could turn Rigondeaux into a sensation if he can stop shitting all over him.

  8. Yep. Get him on Showtime vs. Mares. THERES a fight.

RIGO has plenty of good fights at Super Bantam and i'm sure HBO will put up the money to show his fights.

I'd love to see him against Vic Darchinyan next as it'd sell well and be a fun fight whilst it lasted.

Even though he's clearly the Number 1 at Super Bantam he can also pick up the WBC and IBF belts by beating Cristian Mijares and Jonathan Romero then maybe take on Carl Frampton in Ireland which would sell 30,000 tickets there.

If his contract with Toprank runs out in the next 18 months he can then move to Goldenboy and take on Leo Santa Cruz so there's plenty of fights there for him in the next 2 years.

, when Rigo got knocked down he probably jumped in the air cheering only then to see Rigo was fine and then won the last 2

That's what Bob Sheridan and the Filipino fans did when I was watching. I knew straight away that he was fine, he was putting his hands behind himself trying to cushion his fall, that means you're not hurt and it's a balance issue. Similar to the Toney knockdown vs Jones jr.

Don't forget that Rigo also did a G bow to the ref after the drop, showing he still had class and his wits. Then he proceeded to take control of the fight shortly thereafter. Amazing stuff.

Rigo is a breath of fresh air to boxing. If you don't like his style fine but you should be able to appreciate it if you're a fan of the sport.

I think he may be hurt in the short term but eventually a budding star like Mares will let his ego make him want a Rigo fight to the be the best

Somebody is going to want to prove themselves at some point

its a shame Rigo didnt maybe pursue a finish better in round 12 when Donaire was more interested in holding his face

Let's not sugar coat it, that was a dull fight. Both guys threw around 30 punches a round. I put more blame on Donaire though because he was losing and didn't decide to do much about it until the end of the fight. Then he got hurt and started covering his eye and running around the ring. Once he started pinning his glove to his eye, Rigo should've stepped it up.
