I think Rigo's going to be pretty screwed from now on.

Style doesn't really matter. Hopkins has zero personality and a boring style, but he was dominant and rated among the best in the world. That matters to HBO.

but before the Tito fight. He was featured in some absolute snoozers lol...and he doesn't have any personality. He's a bland wannabe articulate convict lol.

Yeah Rigo was really coasting in the 12th :patsch
Rigo was tiny against Donaire, Hopkins is a natural light heavy who was fighting a natural light middle.

I can't believe that Arum denies his own fighter and publicly says he's unwatcheable. What a ******ed scumbag :-(

And how did he envision Rigo beating Nonito? By going to toe to with him and slug it out?
If Rigo was gonna beat Donaire it was the way how he did on Sat.

And he could be pretty screwed, depending also on the fighter that gets put in front of him.

It's completely unprofessional, he is a promoter and he's talking down his fighter.

I agree. Al Haymon would do wonders for his career. He can't hire him until his contract with Top Rank expires, though, because if he signed Haymon as his manager right now, Arum would do everything he could to ruin his career.

Rigo needs an elite translator who can translate his emotion and charisma to the english speaking population. The guy could easily play the "bad guy" he has a bad ass swagger to him (like most cubans do), and that could be used to his advantage. Over all he was classy in his victory over Donaire. But I can't emphasize enough how much he needs a legit translator.

Rigo wasn't trying? Donaire was winning rounds? I don't know what fight you were watching, it was a shutout (minus the 10th round that Rigo still got the better of apart from the knockdown), and how did he not leave his mark in the 12th? Donaire's face was the mark, the bigger guy beaten up. That was my point, Hopkins stopping a smaller guy shouldn't be compared to this in anyway. Rigo is a far bigger puncher p4p than Hopkins has ever been.
Rigo not trying? You need to find a sport you understand. It Donaire wasn't so much bigger he was out of there on a stretcher.

The only way he gets screwed is if he stays with Arum!!! Arum doesnt care about him, he only put him in with Donaire because he didnt want to do bussiness with goldenboy (Mares would've been an easier night) so he decided to pick Rigo in hopes of Donaire KO out. Since it didnt happen hes lost money now. He thinks that performance from Rigo was boring and now hes so called next Pacquiao has just lost.

Rigo needs to sign with goldenboy so he can get all the fights he wants, Arum is bout to tank this guy for beating his bread winner

Don't understand why the media is so damn harsh on Rigo. Give him 2 more rounds and no doubt in my mind he would've KOed Donaire. Nonito was turning in the same state DLH was when Oscar fought Pac. Who else has hurt Donaire like that? Nobody else but Rigo - a guy who's older, less experienced, and much smaller than a prime Donaire. If that's not an amazing accomplishment you have too much hatred in your system.

Why is it even a question when it comes to selling a Rigo fight? He knocks people out. The only reason why we didn't see a KO last Saturday is because two of the best were fighting each other. Any other guy would've been KOed by that version of Rigo. Again, he has knock out power which means it shouldn't be hard to promote him. You don't think Rigo can KO Nishioka and Arce? Of course he can which means Arum should be setting him up the same way he set up Donaire.

But yeah, Rigo is screwed if he sticks with Arum. Unless a miracle happens and Arum suddenly believes Rigo can embarrass Mares/GBP. He might make that fight just to have bragging rights over his biggest competitor. But that's a big stretch. If Rigo stays with TR, sorry, but I'm gonna put a portion of the blame on him if his career doesn't develop.

People need to realize that Arum is all business. Donaire vs Rigo was a big fight, put Rigo vs most other boxers and other than enthusiasts (who'll probably stream the fight anyway) you'll get an empty venue. It's nigh impossible to turn Rigo into a big draw. So yeah, it's clear that even after this fight, Donaire will remain the cuddled fighter because he still has the much wider support, thus the better upside.

Further more, Donaire will move up. Rigondeaux can't move up, which means that, due to broken ties with GB, there are very few profitable fights to be made. Perhaps Darchinyan. If Rigondeaux wants more real money fights, he should loosen the ties with TR and sign for GB, as Mares and Santa Cruz would present big winnable fights. Now, would ODLH put those 2 against Rigo, I'm doubtful.
